Official Texas A&M Pregame / Game Thread

I remember 20 years ago. I was in the dorms, Cheyene Arapahoe hall. Came out of the shower, went back to my room, turned my tv on and I saw one of the planes hit one of the bldgs. I said WTF I said to myself that can't be real, must be fake. Ran out of the room, several people were saying we are under attack. I was shocked, couldn't move for a while.
I shared a similar experience with you in the same building. I lived in the same dorm which was called Nichols Hall back then. As I was returning to the dorm after my morning class a friend of mine told me the space shuttle Challenger had just exploded. We were standing right in front by the steps leading into the dorm.

The defense played lights out. It is a shane the offense didn't show up. Anyways onto the next game., good effort,. Atleast the team did show up and played like Buffalosd, idn't accept defeat before the game like most people wanted them to do. A semi average offense that can score 14 points would have won the game, disappointing.

We lost so you know what that means, overreaction time on here from everyone.

We blew it at the end of the first half. Should have been 14-0 and that would have been game.

Having said that boy am I proud of them. played so hard. Offense struggled but keep it in perspective. Freshman QB making his second start against maybe the best defense in the country. Broussard went down. Sheneult didn’t play

Today was a win for the program even if it doesn’t feel like it.

Good grief.

How can you call this a win?

**** "moral victories".

It will be interesting to see what Dorrell does with his offensive coaches. Some OK recruiters - but terrible coaches.
No, at best some of our offensive coaches are mediocre recruiters, most are worse.

And no question the coaching is bad, we lose individual battles and we lose team battles on offense.

But the sad fact is that a lot of teams win games with bad coaching because they have better players.

You could argue that aTm was poorly coached today. I'm certain that many of their fans will spend the week questioning their play calling.

Bottom line though was that when it came down to it they had enough better individual players to win the game. This was especially true as their defensive ends dominated our OTs all game long but extended to other position battles as well.

I'm done with Dorrell and I'm done with this staff.

Some may remember that I was one of those who gave Hawkins extra time and MikeMac the benefit of the doubt.

I have learned my lesson. Bad staffs don't magically become good, bad recruiters don't magically figure out how to be good.

KD and staff gave us a fun year last year and this was a fun game but KDs history looks to be repeating itself.

Wrong- We lost this game because Chiv is a ****ing terrible OC and the O will continue to suck as long as he is calling plays

What you, and a lot of the "look on the bright side" guys miss is the fact that the negativity/anger from the board right now is understanding that **** like this is happening because of the coaching staff and their decisions during the game/off-season/recruiting. We've seen nothing from them to think that things will be getting any better from them.

That makes this loss even worse. The players played their ass off and well enough to win today. Depth issues, holes at a few positions, and play calling are what cost is this game.

Wilson called a good game other than having our best pass rusher covering a RB on the biggest 3rd down of the game that cost us 6 points. I'm interested to see how good he ends up being.

**** "moral victories".

CU over the past 15 years leads the nation in moral victories along with other also rans. The defense was a bright spot, but not many teams will not have their starting QB most games and our defense isn’t the 85 Bears. Our offense will only have a few games where we score 21 points offensively.

I think about it differently

KD is doing a GREAT job coaching the team he has in terms of putting out a rock-solid college effort in each game they play.

His idea of good recruiting MUST be fixed so that we can have guys like T AM and others, but the Buffs played harder than the other team today, a team that was the #5 team in the country. They only gave up 10 points and had only given up 3 points for 57 minutes.

Our Special Teams sucks on FG's, but were solid on kickoffs and punts, and were not the factor at all in the loss

We have a stud Freshman QB that was tearing up the Zone Read, and after halftime, it was ran successfully once and only once.

Chiv let down the entire team with inept play-calling and design. Lack of motion, lack of creativity, bad route running, and it is a miracle what Wilson and the defense did to keep us in the game, despite the fact we were WINNING the f-ing game for 57 minutes.

I am so not happy right now, but these young men deserve our KUDOS and CONGRATULATIONS for the effort

If Frost comes out with this we're all over it in that quite frankly embarrassing Nebraska thread.

Chiv will be asked to step down at end of season or let go is my opinion. Is he on a 1 year contract? Wrs were supposed to be a strength of team and sure don’t look like it. With that said the young QB isn’t very good and probably shouldn’t be playing this year. Beating A&M could have been huge for recruiting and still should be for Defensive players. Losing does nothing yet again.

Need wins against ASU, UCLA, Oregon, USC types or this season accomplishes nothing yet again. I have my doubts we score much on Minnesota.

Are you saying before the game if I told you we would lead the whole game and lose 10-7 to the #5 team in the country, that you would have said that is unacceptable? I know I was curious what kind of team we really had, assumed you all were too. Now we know. A pretty good one that needs to get better on offense, but we knew that with a freshman QB

I’m sorry but this is so ****ing wrong. Dorrell can hang. He needs to recruit better, no question. But look at today, this was on play calling and nothing more. Buffs played well, it’s a good team. KD needs a better staff no doubt, but clearly these guys want to play for him
And buy into what he’s preaching.

WTF
Seriously, he was running over big SEC Defenders, he can throw the ball just fine
What he needs is a scheme that fits everything he is good at, and a better OL
He has stud Running Backs that take the pressure off him
He has stud Wide Receivers that he needs to take shots to and let the WR make the play
B Lew is our QB of the here and now, and the future for the next 3 years my friend

Um no.

KD should have played Lewis all last season to get him experience so he would we ready for this year.

His recruiting will not be fixed, because he sucks at it.

Playing harder than the other team means **** if you lose.

Chiv sucks, and it should have been clear to KD and others well before KD that he sucks as an OC. He is only in the spot he is because he is a cockroach that survives the apocalypse around him.
