The 2021-2022 Coaching Carousel

Maybe Cabral knows him from All-Poly camps. That's my faint hope since the only connection to Sanford I can think of that CU had was Cabral working for Sanford Sr and, I think, Turley being at Furd at the same time.
I was going to mention the Turley connection. I have to imagine that also played into it

Robert Anae has decided to step down as OC/OL at Virginia and will not participate in their bowl game.

He was with Mendenhall a long time. 3 of his starting OLs have decided to hit the portal (C and both OTs).

He'd be a spectacular hire as CU's OL/RGC if he was interested in another nice contract before retiring (62 years old). I'd have loved him for OC/OL, fwiw, but didn't think of him being available.

Dude, you started this whole multi day board meltdown by actively promoting Marion for weeks. Now you are pushing an OL coach that should get everyone all lathered up with false expectations.

Please stop! You are Lucy holding the ball for Charlie Brown to kick!

It’s not Nik’s fault that KD and RG make moves that are as exciting as paint drying.

Don’t know how much he brings you on the recruiting trail (aside from presumably putting you in a good position to land a couple of those Virginia OL transfers), but would be great to have as a guy who can develop your OL, bring toughness and physicality to the group, but his offenses actually passed the ball pretty well, so he’d help in the shaping of a balanced offense.

What the ****? Blaming the programs incompetence on a poster for making coaching suggestions that are reasonable for a P5 program is next level idiotic. How dare we aspire for qualified individuals to be hired here.

AY, you are on a bad path. I forsee this ending in a bad crash for you. You are now fighting a post using sarcasm as humor with a flame thrower.

We all have opinions, right and wrong. Devolving everything into anger and hatred is going to poison your heart and life off the board. I wish you peace and joy in this holiday season and hope you find them.

Sorry, I didn’t pick up on your sarcasm. Not angry at all. With the thought you were serious, I was simply thinking what the ****?

Auburn just pulled the biggest “WTF?” on the carousel so far this year. They just hired some kid that has only been an NFL QB coach for a couple of years as their new OC. In order to sell the hire they had Wilson and Carrol write letters of recommendation for him to share with the media.

Harsin is a gift that keeps on giving.

-My dad getting the news

is he really that hot? Dude was working at Pitt as a WR coach

Is he in the 00.04% of coaches that are good?
I don't know enough about him to say that-but I would say this......If I'm him, I'd probably turn Texas down. Sarkisian is absolutely on the hot seat after the mess they were this year.

I mean who knows what other options he has, but generally turning down UT isn't a smart economic choice.

Sark + Ewers is probably a pretty good combination to be on that staff tho. And every UT staff is on the hot seat every year

Speaking of which, RG better have Tom Herman on speed dial when KD's buyout gets smaller

I thought Casey Thompson would flourish under Sarkisian after he carved us up in the bowl game last year. I'll believe that when I see it.

Dorrell's replacement should be either Herman or Blake Anderson. Took Utah State from 1 win in last year to 11 wins (which included 2 wins over this conference and an absolute ass-whipping of San Diego State in the MWC championship game) and a conference title.

Blake Anderson may literally only be able to coach at Utah State.

Interesting on Lanning’s staff at Oregon. Most said he would be wise to hire to grey hairs on his staff. His coordinator hires have been:

Dillingham 31 years old (0 coordinator experience)
Powledge 34 years old (0 coordinator experience)

We will see how this works out for him.

Btw Marion is rumored to Oregon as WR coach and he wiped all Pitt stuff off his Twitter today
Either way, this should be interesting…

Your boy may be available sooner than later. Think the powers that be in Boulder would hire this guy?

Wait, I use Enterprise exclusively for the young grads. I even hired pharma reps that started at Enterprise.

but I get your point.
