2022 Transfer Portal

To follow my previous posts up with specific data this is the current roster situation. We are at 83. This is with everyone who has announced they are transferring removed. So we can currently only bring in 2 transfers:

That being said...the most counters left for this cycle is 7. That includes HS and transfers. If more than 5 more players transfer then the extra scholarships would go unfilled or filled by walk-ons.

The roster is in flux. still several changes about to happen. No need to stress over every move.

would you mind adding this to your signature

CU with the most transfers in the conference now (before anyone says this is happening everywhere)

This is just glaring to look at in one place (AND this was before D. Stanley and doesn’t include T. Lang).

From 24/7 (free):

Aside from Watts…“Running backs Jarek Broussard, Ashaad Clayton and Joe Davis, receivers Brenden Rice, La'Vontae Shenault, Chris Carpenter and Keith Miller [insert D. Stanley], tight end Alec Pell, offensive lineman Kanan Ray, defensive linemen Jayden Simon, Blayne Toll and Lloyd Murray Jr., inside linebacker Zephaniah Maea, cornerbacks Christian Gonzalez and Mekhi Blackmon, and safeties Mark Perry, Trustin Oliver and Curtis Appleton are other 2021 Colorado players that have entered the transfer portal since late September.

Quarterback Maddox Kopp, receiver RJ Sneed and edge player Chance Main have transferred into Colorado's program.”

What’s weird to me is that none of these sites do anything other than just “report” who is coming or going and talk about the history of the players and their stats. How is THAT the story?

Yeah, M Bell. Great. Maybe Arias will have a breakout season. Yeah, that’ll be great. Really looking forward to it.

The reason WR who have marketability are leaving is because the offense is going to be worse than 2021. They have reputations to rebuild and they sure as hell aren’t going to be a part of a tire fire in 2022 and beyond.
The offense will be better in my opinion, because it just cannot get worse in any way, shape, or form

I feel some Lamentations coming on....
The Exodus is in full swing!
The Israelites Buff Fans groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. 24 God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob (and Coach Mac). 25 So God looked on the Israelites Buff Fans and was concerned about them.

It is good to see a few players get good offers. Of course, would rather not play against those players in conference, but if a player chooses to leave it's nice to know the player is up to USC standards vs starting for us and the best offer they can get is Alabama State or Texas Central Southern State

You’re funny. The OL got worse and so did the skill depth, especially at RB and WR. Unclear why you think it can’t get worse. We were not the worst scoring offense in the country last season.

It can get worse.

This assertion is (understandably) based on relative stats and standings, as we were dead last (almost) in all of the NCAA, offensively. But I can absolutely see how we could get even worse. Take penalties, for instance. We weren’t that bad. But this next year, we will be starting a slew of freshman in a brand new system.

There was severe disfunction with last years offense, and there were receivers not even running routes hard or correctly.
The OL is a scary thought, and has to be improved, but the offensive plan was terrible, and maybe just having everyone on the same page can help.
Not so sure that Chiv knew how to train the offense through all of its plays in a way that was cohesive, consistent, high paced, and effective.
I am not pumped about where we are at, but I am an optimist

Shaping up to be an epically bad season. Historically futile. Right on par with 2012, which I honestly thought would be the low water mark for this team. Our best hope for any wins next year will be for the opponent to take us so lightly that they fail to prepare or motivate.

I think they'd pretty much have to lose their equipment at the airport.

I watched the press conference when KD shut down B. Howell for having the temerity to ask about a couple of other players leaving. It was a bizarre overreaction in the midst of a completely congenital presser. This was the second red flag for me (pushing the photographer being the first).
I forgot my third RedFlag with KD (and I was a highly optimistic fan of his to start last season):

We went an entire season without our backup QB throwing a single pass AND still managed to burn his redshirt season.

That's really something. I'd love to hear an excuse for that. Then, add to that gross negligence (against the player at least, if not the team) the fact that we were not going to, nor competing to go to, a bowl game for a number of games, AND we were--apparently--going to pursue a total player yard-sale in the offseason.

That is an NFL guy forgetting what the hell was going on all year, cause all he does is stand there and stare, I yelled at the screen a lot to just let Carter throw the ball no matter what
