I laughed. But, he does have a point at the same time. They chose money over common sense, this decision is to the detriment of their student athletes. We’ll see how it goes but I wouldn’t be shocked after a few years some kids are sharing they hated all that travel. But than again they’ll just pay them more and they’ll likely not care.

The student athletes could be swimming in NIL money and we are supposed to feel sorry for them?
 

No media company is going to sign a meaningful contract without a meaningful GOR by the remaining schools. Outside of WSU and OSU, no school is going to sign a meaningful GOR at any value a media company is willing to pay right now.

So we wait.

It’s really unfortunate, and I think they are already regretting it, given the pushback that they’ve gotten from almost every corner of their communities.

What does that mean? Gavin Newsom? The California Board of Regents? The alums disliking the fact that all their traditional rivalries and the Rose Bowl just got blown up? I'll guess the diehard season ticket holder fans love it. But Id also guess a lot of alums live in places like Seattle and the Bay Area and probably arent too happy.
