Hi Buffaloes,
2 buddies and I will be attending the TCU at CU game next month and wanted your recommendations on gameday tailgaiting, restaurants and bars in Boulder. Best place to find game tickets? Best place to park?

Looking forward to the game and seeing a new town, one that's going to be a lot cooler than the 100 degree temperatures we've been having in Texas this summer! May the best team win!

Greetings Horny Frog. This thread is probably the best place to start.

How's the team looking this year?
Honestly, that's the million dollar question. I think we'll be better than our 5-7 team last year that resulted in Coach Gary Patterson resigning/getting fired. How much better? Maybe 7-5 but I think we might surprise some teams too and be as good as 9-3. New coaching staff, several new players but also a bunch of returning talent on Offense & Defense.

I have no idea how you arrived here...from an old BUFF that lives 40 mins from College Station. It will be good to see purple in Folsom other than Wash< their unis suck and they believe their **** doesn't stink. Folsom is a fan friendly stadium most seats are good/great for viewing one of the best in college football. You can get walk up tickets there's always someone selling some, best to look on-line pay a little extra for 3 seats together as close to an isle as you can get. Tailgating, parking etc..I'll leave to others here.
Word to the wise no red...for the full experience get seats as close as you can to the student section, it'll allow you to maintain your dignity and enjoy the game.

May I suggest Espinoza Island?

It will not be the humid oppressive heat of FW, but you are closer to the sun here than you are in FW. Sunscreen, perhaps the west side where the shade comes earlier might be a consideration. Drink lots of water.

Food and drink may obtained on the Hill. Just west of campus, you can't miss it. The Sink is probably the best starting off point.

If you aren't into the student scene, hit Pearl Street. Plenty of food and drink there too.

Enjoy your visit.

When I was a season ticket holder (88-97)....on game day after a cup of coffee I'd take a walk up Boulder Creek Canyon till 11:00 walk back and go to Folsom....what you see will last a life time and then there's a football game...worth every dime.

Thanks for the tips guys. My buddies and I have had some wonderful experiences going to away games at Clemson & Boise State so we're hoping this trip is right up there too. Of course we want to win the game but our trip is about having fun, taking in all the fun & sights in Boulder and around the University of Colorado.

Anybody selling 3 tickets?

This is a game where the Buffs have got to grind them down with the run game. TCU defense isn't going to come out of camp having practiced against physical football. Matriculating long drives is the key to winning the 4th quarter, especially at altitude.

You aren't going to be able to beat this deal.

Does TCU have a QB who can get ball to your good WR this year? Who starts?

I had an old blind guy yell at me at the Sonoran Desert Museum for telling my kid that the animal standing in front of us was a Horny Toad.

Apparently, they're actually Horned Lizards. So apparently TCU can't get their mascot right.

Wait a minute..... just being told that Ralphie is not a Buffalo but a Bison.

Scratch the above. Except for the grumpy old guy in Tucson. No matter what else is going on, that guy was a dick.

Flipping him off was probably not as effective as you wanted it to be.
