2022-23 Coaching Carousel

Do not like. Would do a great job in Tempe.
Maybe. Sometimes you are great until you are not.

Bobby Petrino's second stint at Louisville had Lamar Jackson playing for him, but the best record he could muster with Lamar and his Heisman Trophy winning play was 9-4. He went 1-3 in bowl games and was fired in the middle of the second season after Jackson went to the NFL because they were really bad. He went through 3 DC's in 3 years.

He's currently 15-9 at Missouri State, but as an FCS school, it is hard to find enough information to know if they are poised for a run here in his 3rd season. They are currently 2-1 with a close loss to Arky, but also close wins against Central Ark and UT Martin. They were picked 3rd in the media poll for this season, their highest since 1996. Currently ranked #6 in FCS.

🤷‍♂️

Louisville’s defenses during that time were horrible, to be sure. I don’t see how he wouldn’t be an upgrade over what they’ve had, which isn’t great for Colorado.

He's winning at Missouri State with a former Utah backup QB who is capable of doing what Jackson did for Petrino at UL.

I love that when you google Bobby Petrino these are still the first pics that pop up

I'm in complete awe of how dilusional Fuskers fan base is over who they will end up.... They all meyer or bust.... Meyer ain't f'n going to that cespool

He creates cesspools... Florida, tosu....

But my point isn't about Urb... Those fans are as looney as they come... **** they worse than uncle Rico with living in the past
Those programs were already cesspools when he arrived. He is just a perfect scumbag to make them even worse.

If Nebraska gets Urb to the table, they will offer him a contract worth at least $100 million and more likely in the range of $125-$150 million. It’ll be guaranteed money. Urb may very well say no, but it will be a close decision.

Urb allowed players to commit murder (Hernandez) @ Florida plus whatever that coach did at tosu (I forget right now I'm at work).. I'm not saying those programs are/were clean before or after Urb... I am saying based on fuskers a.d's press conference... Urb is the last thing he wants... I for one believe the Frosty rumors and they can not have a coach with behavioral issues roaming that sideline with this hire... No matter how bad Mr living in the T.O. era wants it

My money is they throw the bank at Leopold. He declines... Next is Leonard (sp) at wisc... He declines... They end up with Chadwell... Which could honestly be the best of the 3....

Apparently you’ve never heard of Lawrence Phillips…

The AD at Nebraska has a rabid fanbase to answer to on this decision. I don’t expect them to settle on a lesser known coach.

Urban Meyer is a sleaze ball and a bit of an authoritarian asshole as a coach apparently, but he’ll get just about whatever college football job he wants, when he decides he wants it.

Ummmmm
Check replies... Confirmed???

Not a comment on EB at all but I would hate to be the first Black head coach at Nebraska.

It will happen eventually and it needs to happen but a coach, no matter who it is, isn't going to fix what is wrong with that program.

When that Black coach struggles, which he will, we will see that the racism isn't buried very deep at Nebraska. I think it could get very ugly.

That isn't happening for so many reasons.

That said, I don't want EB here or believe he'd have a ton of interest in CU if it opened.
