Sounds like you bumped into Hokie. In fairness to Hokie - I did have conversations with two random locals last week who really thought our game last week was at 12 pm MT, not 12pm ET/10am MT.
yeah, I got that now. I was confused a few years ago when CU had a "Big Noon" game and someone put that in the thread title. I've been straight on this issue since, but when I was catching up on the weekend's threads Monday, multiple posters were expressing confusion over the CSU game time because of this.
if it was just me, I'd take the L and move on, but when multiple people -- on a message board dedicated to college football -- are confused by the name, I think there's something to it.
not a big deal, though. I'm sure Fox's marketing and branding people have good reason for keeping the name.
I'm not retarded, I'm just different!!
This is the same team who lost to Troy Taylor’s prior job/FCS team, Sac State. Losing to them would be catastrophic.Random note here but Stanford has a bye before our game and we’ll be coming off an away game on a short week
Agreed, but you see how the Bye week helped CSU.This is the same team who lost to Troy Taylor’s prior job/FCS team, Sac State. Losing to them would be catastrophic.
Dirty play is what helped csu.Agreed, but you see how the Bye week helped CSU.

Unsubstantiated rumor was that they did that intentionally for CUInteresting circumstances that the bye week for CSU was after week one. That rarely (ever?) happens.

2024 Schedule:
North Dakota State (Home) - Sat, Aug 31
Nebraska (Away) - Sat, Sep 7
Colorado State (Away) - Sat, Sep 14
Pac-12- 5 Home, 4 Away (no Cal or Washington)
Why?I find it really hard to believe CSU scheduled their buy week before the CU game intentionally to have longer to prep for us, vs scheduling it before a conference game
because conference games matter far far more than non-conf gamesWhy?
Why is that a universal rule with no exceptions? For example, give me that win over Nebraska instead of a win at Oregonbecause conference games matter far far more than non-conf games
We’re talking about CSU here.because conference games matter far far more than non-conf games
Not to CSU fans.because conference games matter far far more than non-conf games
I am guessing you could count this happening on one hand the past 25 years.I find it really hard to believe CSU scheduled their buy week before the CU game intentionally to have longer to prep for us, vs scheduling it before a conference game
It’s probably going to change since Oregon and Washington have joined the big10 since that schedule was released. Is this really the USC schedule next year?
Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa at home?

Had to schedule North Dakota State???- Three extremely winnable OOC games
- Sub in B12 for P12 means no top end teams other than UU
- Hopefully still a 5 home game conference schedule
- 12 teams playoffs
- Profit
Not as much as they like 9 figure media revenue!usc /ucla are going to love those late November snow games.
Had to schedule North Dakota State???
Gonna need a bottle of Tums for that one.
