Isn't Flacco like 39 or 40?Shedeur isn’t getting traded
Pickett or even Flacco are much more likely

And Mahomes, Allen and Lamar Jackson. Most QBs pat the ball. It’s a non-issueDoes that explain Brady, Brees, and Payton Manning?
They really don’t, though. And Mahomes, Allen and Lamar Jackson. Most QBs pat the ball. It’s a non-issue
I’ll nitpick anyone from any team for any reason.Imagine spending your time finding YouTube videos questionably tearing apart the best QB to ever play for CU. Wonder why someone who is a cu fan would do that?

I think it’s stranger that anyone would do nothing but praise someone just because size they played for their favorite team.
Shedeur ain’t special just because I’m a CU fan
And with some players you have to nitpick.
Shedeur doesn’t have any obvious, game breaking weaknesses…so you have to point out things like his 100% ball pat or not always throwing guys open, not navigating the pocket well (which I think was partially due to the line being so bad his first year, that he didn’t trust it when the line gave him a good pocket this last season)
His arm is above average, his accuracy is elite+. His mobility is functional
Add Cam to that. We saw Cam on better Wazzu offenses and he didn't lead them to many wins at all. In fact, De Laura, Minshew, Metter, and Gordon won more games or as many. Most of us have absolutely no issue being honest/critical of players while they are here. Easy example: Steven Montez.
The issue is that from a college perspective, with what he had around him, Shedeur was damn near superhuman. Sure he held the ball too long. But if you put any other QB in the country not named Cam Ward in place of Shedeur this year, I don’t think we win as many games.
Shedeur held the ball too long, but he was also playing hero ball every game. Hero ball creates lots of mistakes on game film. Is it their natural play? Or is it the situation? Most of us have absolutely no issue being honest/critical of players while they are here. Easy example: Steven Montez.

He played a lot more hero ball as a SR than any of the previous seasons. Was it needed, heck yeah, if he played more hero ball as a Junior, we wouldn't have lost to Stanford and we probably would have beaten Arizona and made the bowl game even if he didn't play in it. At the end of the day, Shedeur was willing to stick in the pocket which he wasn't willing to do as a Jr or Soph and definitely wasn't even moving much as a freshman. He did what he needed to do to keep our offense competitive. We had no threat of a running game. There was no Dylan Edwards that anyone had to gameplan for. There was no Mikey Harrison who wasn't much to write about anyway. They just didn't care about any of our TEs in his Sr year. I don't understand how people lack so much context when it comes to Sanders. To me, it was by far his best year by a mile. Did he have messy tape? hell yeah, but it had to be messy for us to even have a chance. We needed to win. We didn't need him to play up for the NFL. He had his Junior year tape for that.Shedeur held the ball too long, but he was also playing hero ball every game. Hero ball creates lots of mistakes on game film. Is it their natural play? It's not bad at all. People are being nitpicky on Sanders. It's just that simple.can somebody tell me why patting the ball is bad?
The theory is because it’s a habit right before a QB throws the ball which give defenders the obvious signal that he’s about to throw so they can defend it easier.can somebody tell me why patting the ball is bad?
Keep in mind, especially in the 23 season that as the season went on his defense became terrible.Shedeur held the ball too long, but he was also playing hero ball every game. Hero ball creates lots of mistakes on game film. Is it their natural play? Or is it the situation?

I think that while in some other years he would a bit down the list based strictly on his football skills he was the best QB in this draft. I've seen Ward play multiple times and as a pro prospect I would put Shedeur ahead of him. When it comes to QBs with difficult situations, Shedeur Sanders is QB1 for me. His situation in college was insanely difficult. Josh Allen is QB2. Josh Booty at LSU is QB3. Brock Purdy best situation was his freshman year at Iowa State, no shock, it's the best statistical year of his career in college. Mahomes had a below average situation as well.
I think Shedeur is extremely underrated, and like Klatt and Kiper, I think his best football is ahead of him. He's going to be a way better NFL QB than he was in college.

2025 NFL Draft: College-to-pro projections for Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders
Projecting college football stars to the NFL is never an exact science, but by utilizing PFF grades and advanced data, we can gain a clearer picture of how prospects might transition to the next level. By analyzing performance trends, key metrics, and positional benchmarks, we can identify which...pff.com

I have Shedeur as QB1 and the only blue-chip QB in this class. The other blue chips I had was Jeanty, Hampton, and Hunter who was my top overall prospect. I had a late 1st grade on Cam Ward. I believe when it's all said and done, the NFL will be happy with Cam Ward and he was deserving of being a top 5 pick long term, but they would be ashamed of passing on Shedeur, including CLE. For some reason, as Kiper said, the NFL has to see it to believe it when it comes to pocket passers. Rarely do they give them the benefit of the doubt. I just believe in prototypes, and Shedeur is off the charts as a pocket passer. Cam is the modern style QB everyone loves today. The balanced QB who makes all of the throws effortlessly. A pure talent.I think that while in some other years he would a bit down the list based strictly on his football skills he was the best QB in this draft. I've seen Ward play multiple times and as a pro prospect I would put Shedeur ahead of him.
I believe he fell because the NFL does not do independent thinking well. A combination of bad interviews and bigger the idea that he would be a disruption, partly because of rumors/ideas about the involvement of his dad caused him to drop and once he started everybody was afraid to be the one that bucked the trend.
He makes NFL throws, he makes NFL style reads, he was successful with a parade of different OCs. I think a lot of NFL GMs are going to have to make uncomfortable admissions (excuses) for not drafting him a leaving their teams without a quality QB.
Yes, he HAD to play hero ball.He played a lot more hero ball as a SR than any of the previous seasons. Weird. So weird. Shocked even! How could a guy that pats the ball do it?ESPN radio was raving about Shedeur's rookie camp. Said he knocked it out of the park from all aspects. Looked great on the field, showed leadership and built relationships with teammates, was the first to arrive & last to leave practices, and was lights out with his fan & media interactions. Had them asking where thie "entitled" narrative came from because it sure doesn't seem to be the reality of Shedeur.
