Yep. It means nothing in this case.I honestly don't care what size he. The kid is electric, put the ball in his hands and watch him make plays.
I don't think anybody cares about his size, it's about his ability.I honestly don't care what size he. The kid is electric, put the ball in his hands and watch him make plays.
Finishing up my interview with DeSoto head coach Todd Peterman. I'll post a link when it's live. Here's what he had to say about K.D. Nixon.
“He’s simply explosive. We play him at receiver, put him in at running back as well, kind of a do-all kid for us. We use a GPS on our kids; he hit 25.3 miles per hour in one of our games. He’s an incredible kickoff, punt return player. He can make an immediate impact there. He’s compact and strong, very explosive.”
Exactly and imagine that at altitude. This guy has skills that you can't give someone.NFL Red Zone clocked the fastest any player reached during the games today. The top player was the kick returner on Philly who returned one for a TD. He reached 21.93 MPH.
25 would be special, and if you got him the ball with room to run it would be special.
He's put together, stocky.Imagining us getting the ball to him on end arounds or tight screens. Easy for a guy his height to hide behind most tackles. Defender has to pick a side and if he picks wrong he has zero chance of catching K.D. as he goes by.
Added to this is that he may be shorter but he isn't small, he looks pretty solid and on the highlights doesn't go down with just a hand or a push. He doesn't have to have a lot of open space to make a huge play.
Plus you just lose sight of them especially in the backfield, when you see them, it's too damn late.I think with guys like him, his size proves to be an advantage. I was thinking about it when Kyle Evans broke that pass play because ASU couldn't knock him off balance and he ran through them. With KD's speed, balance, and elusiveness, he'll be a serious offensive threat.
You know, @Big Jim only stated an observation. He didn't say that it was a problem for him. KD is who we thought he is... a playmaker who is built like a lot of great players around 5'6" 190 lbs. Joe Morris, Dave Meggett, Darren Sproles, etc. One thing it does point to is more of a RB / AP Yards type guy than a pure WR. And that fits a remaining recruiting need for this class.
For sure! These kinds of players, like the guys you mention, drive defenses insane. Let's spread the insanity! You know, @Big Jim only stated an observation. I always considered you an ass, man.Good comps; Nixon is built solid in the butt and legs, lots of power.
I'd say that 4.3 is pretty legit speed. Is the 4.3 speed legit?
Watch his film and you will get your answer. Is the 4.3 speed legit?
