Found not guilty on sex assault and attempted sexual assault. Hung jury on unlawful contact.
Articles covering the trial describe a pretty crazy party, but it came down to what was the actual level of intoxication and who did the jury believe. Atkinson took the stand in his own defense and claimed some accusations never happened and other events were consensual.

If he's been training since high school, I wouldn't mind it, but might be a tough sell to the higher ups at CU

Keep in mind that there is a big difference between innocent and not guilty.

Getting himself into the situation that resulted in having the question go to court may be an indication of the kind of judgement that is worth avoiding.

He should go to a JUCO a year or two, keep his nose clean, and find an opportunity. Alternatively, just find an FCS fit and have a great 4 years there.

Yeah, he has a lot more hurdles legally before we can even begin to think about him playing football.

If he is found not guilty in this next trial, he needs to get the **** out of Dodge and continue his career somewhere else. I don't see how staying in Boulder is beneficial to him at all.
