That’s what I’m saying. Time to crush some SEC schools on the recruiting trail. While some people like @sliderNcider may still have Shaken Buff Syndrome, I for one am pumped we’re recruiting toe to toe with the best again

As others stated, this is what we want to see in our recruiting. I just hope we don’t lose Ashaad. I didn’t feel much of a threat from Kansas, but Florida could be a different story here late. This could be the result of the Gators missing out on Emmit’s son. They now need a good back late.

You hope Tucker and Hagan can close him and that he still has the chip on his shoulder mindset to spurn a school who backed off due to his injury

That game at A&M next year is huge in that regard. Go beat them in college station and we'll start beating the SEC for talent regularly.
Beat aTm in college station next year and the locals will be sharpening their pitch forks.

Florida to Stanford in one generation. Very impressive.
Very different youth experiences too between father and son. Dallas Jesuit is one of the more affluent schools in DFW. Escambia in Pensacola has a majority of students who live in poverty.
Escambia County is poor but isn’t exactly a hell hole.
I was in Pensacola and saw PHS play Escambia in ‘86 when they were both top 10 high school teams in the nation. Was blown away at the size of both looking like college teams. Emmett didn’t have a great game, if memory serves. There were lots of future D-1 kids in that game. Dad’s early life wasn’t all bad.
Edit: You’re right though, very different experiences.
