It's only a travel if the ref calls it.
Ski made sure he didn't travel by jumping off his wrong foot. That's why it looked so awkward and had everybody thinking that something didn't look right with the play.
The best shot/replay I've seen is on ESPN if you click on the Ski post game interview (with the Eammon Brennan article) and it's clear that it wasn't a travel.
So no, it wasn't a travel. I think you let the color douche get to you.

Watched it like 24 times and it wasn't a travel.
And even the color douche stated that it was clearly not a travel and released on time when he looked at the replay.

74% FT for the season. Gotta have an off-night every once and awhile. Difference in the game was TO's. Buffs had only 8 total ; 3 in the second half.
Also, that 2-3 zone surprised KU and broke up their rhythm. Tad almost NEVER plays zone. Self was out-foxed on that one; I'll bet he never even practiced against a CU zone "D" the entire week.
I was impressed how well we rebounded considering Wes didn't play. We were killing it on the offensive glass. Great job by Mills stepping up. He was ready to go when his number was called. All in all, just a great effort by the whole team. I enjoyed that game more than any bball game I've seen in awhile.
When it's .595, that gets rounded up to 60%. Even I know that, and I'm not into math or engineering.
Tad mentioned in the post game interview with Johnson that he to be coerced into running a zone. Said he would've immediately taken them out of it had KU scored on the 1st or 2nd possession against it. It's good we have quality assistants who Tad trusts.

I got the distinct feeling Tad planned the early insertion of Mills. The crowd definitely kicked it up a nothch when he came of and the rest of the team responded as well.
Sometimes a guy like Mills says more about your team than the guys who play all the time. He hasn't seen time that matters in most of the games in his years in Boulder and knows that he isn't likely to see a lot in this, his last year. With all that he works hard, has a great attitude, and if like today he does get time that matters he's ready and contributes to the best of his ability.
There is a leadership element there. If a guy like Mills can work hard and keep a good attitude it's hard for other guys to slack off and make excuses.
I have no idea what his major is or what kind of student he is although I've heard that he is a good student as well. I'm betting however that whatever he does he's likely to be successful at it. Certain characteristics like he has are in demand no matter what you do in life.
Play of the game? Ski.
Underrated play of the game? XJ throwing the ball off the KU defender's leg to get a second shot at the inbound play. Many people would have panicked and either been called for five seconds, turned it over, called a time out they didn't have, or thrown it up for grabs down the court (terrible if it goes out because KU gets the ball at the inbound spot). Clutch, clutch play by XJ that gave Ski the chance to be the hero.

That's what impressed me most about him. A player who is healthy yet goes games without being inserted into the game and yet he was ready to play the toughest opponent on the schedule to date from the second he got on the floor. That's someone who accepts his role but takes practices seriously rather than going through the motions like he's just some guy on the roster. And it was a difference maker. Senior Day in February with Arizona in the house the Keg is going to go off when they call his name.
I had the same reaction, but in a somewhat inappropriate setting. I was watching on my phone, at a reception after a change of command ceremony onboard USS MIDWAY in San Diego. I got a bunch of weird looks when I yelled "YESSSSSSSS!" and narrowly avoided showering my shipmates with veggies and ranch dip. Worth it.
This and Tad coached teams seem to go together a lot.

Have to respectfully disagree - the crowd cheers for Ben as a loveable figure - was watching the bench during his minutes and guys were jumping up arms in the air after each score or look. The crowd responded louder - but the team attitude changed after Ben started having success. It was like a collective, "Hell yeah, they're no better than us and this is our house!"

Last time CU was the lead on Sportscenter it was 'cause the 3-ball didn't count...
A few intelligent posters there along with a lot of fanatical idiots.
CU got a lot more FTs than KU. It's not because of the officials, it's because Tad recruits and coaches slashers who draw a lot of fouls. Had CU made even a few of those missed FTs near the end the game would never have gotten to the point where they could cry about the final shot, we wouldn't have needed one.
That was entertaining to read for about 5 pages. At first they're all on the same page. Then some logic is shown and then it spreads. Then they're split and arguing with themselves.
Some of the comments "worst Bill Self/Roy Williams era team ever" reminds me of some Broncos fans after a loss even though the team is the best in the conference.
You have to love the comments about being an NIT team. I did like the comment "My three year old learned some new words today."
