2018-2019 Coaching Carousel..

Near season end Update:
A personal note. I started doing the Carousel thread to tide me over until CU got back into post-season play. It became something to do while other teams, like 68 of them, found ways not to completely suck and find their way to some piss ant bowl game for the holidays. Meanwhile, I watch the carousel. I guess it is kind of comforting to have a holiday tradition you can count on.
Filled jobs:
KU- pulls the trigger first, Les Miles, 5 years $2.775MM/year.
Louisville- Jeff Brohm jumps ship from Purdue. (h/t SewallBeach) No official announcement yet. UPDATE: Jeff Brohm says his departure is "completely false" .https://www.jconline.com/story/spor...ille-speculation-completely-false/2014781002/ Of course, that means he will be in Louisville by Dec. 1. UPDATE of the UPDATE: nada.

CU- Mike MacIntyre out, Kurt Roper interim. At least one media hack suggesting Craig Bohl. Idots abound. Consult the dedicated thread for the SCOOOOOOP

That’s fine with me. Take that job off the table for candidates CU is interested in.
I don’t think UNC can offer nearly as much as Colorado right now in terms of administrative support. They seem to be kind of trying to do bandaid treatment.
Mack Brown actually makes more sense.

After what has happened with Fedora, I don't think UNC will go the G5 route again. Safe assumption is that when a school fires its coach that the new hire will fit a different profile.

Illini fan says it's for continuity for recruiting purposes. Also that his buyout was actually lowered. I can't attest to the accuracy of that statement, but it's the only thing that makes the extension make any sense.
