I haven't, and I am quite concerned.but have you heard if he's on campus?

Have they even filed for the waiver? No mention of Alfano.
East to West offense FTMFW!!!! Bubble screens all day baby can't wait.Chev's just trying to recreate Viska.
My favorite part of the year is when the other defense starts calling out the plays beforehand. That's when you figure out how good you really are!East to West offense FTMFW!!!! Bubble screens all day baby can't wait.
In a shortened season that isn't costing anyone a year of eligibility, it would be wildly stupid not to play Lewis as much as possible
Ha, hoping for smart decisions and plus recruiting from our 6th option head coach...Maybe try recruiting more players like that class, coach.
SIAP.
Just wait till he throws an interception and the real athleticism comes out!I hear he is athletic.
But it doesn't really make sense. No one's losing a year of eligibility so it would make the most sense throw Lewis in to the fire to live & die by it. That gives us 5 years of Brendon Lewis vs 3 years of Lytle and we've seen Lytle in game action. Not good.I guess it probably makes sense to play both QB's this year and have a real competition in spring 2021. I think bowl games are going to be very limited and you might as well play both and see what you have with live action. The worst thing we could do is play someone 99% of the time like we've been doing unless that player is just head and shoulders better than everyone else. That comment certainly makes it sound like Lytle is the QB and Lewis will come in for a few plays here or there.
If that happens, he will need to be fired mid season. This may be his last, best, only chance to get his career heading north. He has to deliver.East to West offense FTMFW!!!! Bubble screens all day baby can't wait.
And we’ve seen Lytle in spring games. It has NEVER looked good. But it doesn't really make sense. Lewis/Chandler for QB Competition '21???And we’ve seen Lytle in spring games. It has NEVER looked good.

Agreed. However, as I said, I can see a reason why you play both. Live action is live action and they need to see what they have with both. We've seen very little of Lytle and none of Lewis. At least initially, you play both and go from there. Either way, Lewis needs to be taking majority of your snaps by the end of the year. But it doesn't really make sense. I would stake my livelihood on Chev not being fired mid season regardless of how bad it is. He's got too much internal pull.If that happens, he will need to be fired mid season. This may be his last, best, only chance to get his career heading north. He has to deliver.
True, what we have seen from Lytle, in his defense, is him getting in poor reps because Montez was hurt and he wasn't warmed up or anything (e.g Utah in a winter storm). Who knows maybe he could surprise us. Definitely agree on the QB depth portion, but I think with where we are it makes sense to start with Lewis. Then if we can get some real prospects in the QB room going forward, and someone beats out Lewis in 2 years, I'm all for it. I just know from what I've heard about Lewis v Noyer/Lytle, the talent difference is strikingly obvious to teammates.Lytle has not played enough to give a judgement. Also, QB depth is a real, live thing in many programs. The "let's go with the one guy for the next four years" strategy has not been great for CU.

I second the Motion.

Sad to think that the last time we had a competent second stringer was the Cody Hawkins/Tyler Hansen days. Not just about someone beating the top guy, it is about having a competent (at worst) second stringer to step in when needed. Expecting a starting QB to stay completely healthy for multiple seasons at 12 or more games apiece is just stupid.
Medically?
Why is that a specific obstacle to Alfano, though?I assume this means tested for the virus.
Umm, Montez wasn't a world beater, but this is a bit unfair.Sad to think that the last time we had a competent second stringer was the Cody Hawkins/Tyler Hansen days.
