2021 Offseason Thread

Wasn't the guy we had before 2016 also a Stanford guy (under Turley)? I think the philosophy was the same, but the coach we hired proved to be unable to relate to players or people of any kind. Turley looks like a home run.

Dave Foreman. Went from Stanford to SJSU under MM and then here for a couple years until MM hired Wilson.

Excited about the hire, this dude knows what he's doing. As far as the "incident", I've heard much worse. If any of you saw that documentary thing about Bobby Knight years back, you'll know what I'm talking about. No, it wasn't the Neil Reed incident.
 
Initially like the Mark Smith hire. Was a high school coach in Texas and former director of recruiting at SMU.

I didn't realize that. Looking at it, it doesn't seem like those SMU classes were very good (80, 75 and 80 nationally according to 247) but he's got to have a lot of Texas connections from those days, and he'd be recruiting for a P5 program this time around.
