Zero chance he was a DE in the 3-4 set. Zero.He was a prototype 3-4 edge, switching to the 4-3 probably caused him to leave

He didn't have even close to the build for a 3-4 DE who has to be able take on and stalemate an offensive lineman.Zero chance he was a DE in the 3-4 set. Zero.
Agreed. He was a standing pass rusher. Probably why he wouldn’t have translated to having his hand in the ground in a 4-3Zero chance he was a DE in the 3-4 set. Zero.
SIAP. Seems basically done however
Agree on all. I saw him best (only) as stand up Edge in 4-2/1 money set.He didn't have even close to the build for a 3-4 DE who has to be able take on and stalemate an offensive lineman.
To be a 4-3 DE he would still be faced with taking on OTs, at his current weight he'd need to add significant weight and strength.
As a OLB in the 3-4 he would be working the edge either to set against the run or to rush the passer. In this situation he would have the OT is space and be able to use quickness and leverage. As a 4-3 OLB he would have much more responsibility in pass coverage, don't know how comfortable he is with backing up and running with TEs or RBs.
Very logical that if the system is changing he would be gone. Suspect that even without a system change he was out the door because of the coaching change and his family connections.
So you can pick them up cheap at Goodwill?Hope he got rid of his cargo shorts

Or at least supplement mediocre recruiting any way he can.I think this is a good sign that Dorrell will do what it takes to win.
We need more transparency. Need to know why he was fired at Stanford. Every one deserves a 2nd chance.
