(I plan on continuing to use and update this thread and post as, hopefully, the Buffs advance in the winner's bracket of this tournament.)

RV (Receiving votes) Buff men's basketball (2-1) have stayed in the east after their signature win over the #11 Volunteers, and In a couple days begin play at the Myrtle Beach Invitational (actually being held a little to the west of Myrtle Beach in Conway at Coast Carolina University's gym***. The Buffs have their 1st game Thursday late morning MT (or early afternoon local time for them) against the Massachusetts (UMass) Minutemen (1-1).
(***Per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_Center , "HTC Center, originally known as the Student Recreation and Convocation Center, is a 3,370-seat multi-purpose arena...".)

The winner and loser of that opening game will face the winner or loser of the game being held right after the Buffs', Murray State vs. Texas AM (that game's on ESPN2). Either win or lose, the next games are scheduled for Friday, with the losers' bracket game scheduled for 10:00 AM MT and the winners' bracket game is listed as being scheduled to start at either Noon or 12:30 PM MT.

Thursday's game is slotted for ESPNU, while the bracket below lists either ESPNU OR ESPN2 as potential destinations for Friday's games. (More info and links near the bottom of this post.)

Go Buffs!!!

11:30 AM MT on a workday? My memory may be off, but I'm used to early games during the holiday weeks, not this early.

Line has dropped from CU - 7.5, to -5.5.
We should cover that. Easily, I hope.

2 guesses:
Allen plays today
LL has a breakout game.
I want to see KJ & TDS repeat as leading scorers. Clifford could really use a confidence-building breakout game.

Agree on Clifford. Tad called him and DaSilva the guys he thought would be team leaders early on. He has played well, but only 1 point against T, has to bother him.

Clifford just "ain't that guy." He may flip the switch on the court, but I don't think he'll ever be a leader on this team. Hate to say it, but he also may be one of those on the short list of players most likely to be shown the door to make room for next year's class. Just a feeling.

Lets say purely hypothetically a person was at work and wanted to watch this without paying. How may they do this?

I don't know. I know before the G game, the TV guys remarked that Tad had said Clifford and DaS were his team leaders.

I've wondered what it does to a kid's mindset, when he has a certain position/role on a team, and there is an influx of competition for that role. The addition of Hadley and the Ivies, has changed this team a lot.

I honestly think Tad tabbed them because they were the only resturning upperclass starters. I don't think TDS has that full-on dawg leadership mentality either, but he is closer to it than Clifford. The leader on this team is clearly KJ, from both attitude and on-court performance. After that, I might even go so far as to say it's Gabbidon and/or Hadley.

Gabbidon and Lovering are stepping up.

Crash the board fanactically and force UMass to shoot contested 3s late in the shot clock. That's the formula.

who knows: after our game with T, T beat Florida Gulf Coast by 31 - ran them out of the gym. Last week, FGC beat USC in LA.

Mass has 9 transfers. A couple of real 'beefy' bangers. Tad says they are very aggressive, great offensive rebounders.

Go Buffs.

Worst camera angle I’ve seen in awhile. They stick that thing up on a ****ing ladder? Anyone who’s there in person, please go move it, I’ll Venmo you.

Also, great start. Hope we keep up the ball movement, getting great looks. Lovering killing it so far despite that crappy foul. Hope KJ good.
