2024 Big 12 Preview

Hopefully ESPN is up for another Coach Prime Spring Game run.
They're around through the rest of spring sports, I'm guessing baseball will wrap up last.
I think every PAC 12 team is forced to be on PAC 12 network. B1G tried to buyout the game and they said noUpdating the spring games given that CU begins spring practice today.

There's weird **** afoot, like the former members might have some requirements to the Pac-12 bowl tie-ins. At this point I hope the whole thing burns down and we can get some warmth from the ashes.
OSU & WSU are still being petty even if they could stand to gain from such games being moved off the P12N.
First Big 12 Pro Day is next week.

137 Prospects to Participate in First Ever Big 12 Pro Day
The full list of participants has been released for the 2024 Big 12 Pro Day, presented by the Air Force Reserve. A total of 137 prospects will participate in the inaugural Conference-wide Pro Day which will take place in Frisco, Texas at the Ford Center at The Star from March 27-31.

Updated schedule with OSU's spring game on the 27th. I checked BYU and it seems like they didn't really have a spring game but more like an alumni flag game.

Anyone watch any of the Big 12 spring games on demand? I watched the West Virigina, Houston, and Oklahoma spring games. Here are my impressions:
I think it's a good thing we are missing WVU from the 2024 schedule. The 'Eers have two QBs who can start for them and that is a luxury for any college football team. Both QBs would have had insane rushing numbers if it wasn't for the touch tackle rule on every QB out there during spring football. One goes down, the offense keeps humming...both go down, things don't look so good for them. Both QBs can throw the ball as well.
Their schedule is tough although with OOC games against Penn State and Pitt.
The Cougars had their spring game at the track and field stadium since their stadium had construction activities going on for an upgrade on one endzone area. Unlike WVU, I wish we had UH on our schedule because even an experienced QB struggled in the spring game and it seemed like a backup moved the ball better. OL is pretty new too with transfers. Going to be a long year for the UH football team but at least they have a basketball team to look forward to. Willie Fritiz is still an excellent coach and UH could be good in a couple of years.
I know OU is headed for the SEC but I decided to just throw them in here. That Purdue WR is going to be big for the Sooners as he had a big spring game. Main concerns are the OL and the backup QBs. Would have been nice if there was a good backup QB ready to go like Arch Manning at Texas...those weird orange cows will contend for the SEC this year.
Kansas had a showpiece but it was nothing but interviewing KU players...waste of anyone's time. I want to see CU stampede them for that alone.
And I wouldn't be insulted if you took this post and wiped your ass with it because who knows what the Big 12 will look like when the season kicks off?

Heh...trying to cope with football withdrawal at the moment. Most of those spring games weren't long just like CU's so it was tolerable.

I'm glad CU will still have a few good places to travel to for away games. No plans for me and my family to travel back to places like Stoolwater OK, Manhattan KS,
Lubcock TX, Ameless IA, Been there, don't want to go back there. Never been to Cincy,or Morgantown, willing to check them out! Utah and AZ, all good!
I guess preseason preview time is about here.
I'm looking forward to going to Morgantown next year. Still undecided on Orlando this year
NDSU game is on ESPN and Nebraska game is on NBC. CSU game in Ft. Collins could end up on Fox since the MWC has a contract with Fox.
Keep in mind that CU will be required to have one home game on ESPN+ no matter how popular the team is...it's in the current Big 12 media contract that expires after this upcoming season. My guess is the Cincinnati game will be the ESPN+ game since the NDSU game is on ESPN (otherwise NDSU would have been CU's ESPN+ game).
The Big 12 will have games on the ESPN family of channels including ABC. Ditto for Fox and Fox Sports. Anything else will be on ESPN+.
I think the CW Network reference was related to the Pac-12's media rights negotiations. That will be where the home Oregon State & WSU football games will be this season and likely next year as well.
All CU football games will be viewable.
I'm so happy I don't have to worry about the PAC-12 network anymore.
