2024 Colorado Haters Thread

I’d look at that graph as more jealousy than hate. But maybe hate and jealousy are functions of each other. Maybe jealousy is a subset of hate. 🤣

Bama would never hire a coach like Prime, but I bet a bunch of their fans would take Prime over DeBoer right now without a second thought.
The thing about the Bama situation is that DeBoer is an excellent coach. He's just not Nick Saban. Nobody is. It's an impossible standard and I think the interest in the job was lower than most would think.

I honestly think Saban could have gone 9-3 this year.

He knew the game was going to start passing him by. He relied on having kids for multiple seasons. I don't think he would dominate year in and year out with the roster turnover.

He'd have figured it out. I think it was 100% that he didn't want to adapt to so much change at his age. And what doesn't change is that his coaching won close games and he never allowed his team to get caught napping against a squad like Vanderbilt.

Yeah, that's better stated. He could have figured it out, but why reinvent yourself when you can semi retire and enjoy life.

I'd say Ohio State, Georgia, LSU, Texas, and Oregon fans are happy with who they have. Everyone else, if they were being honest, would love to upgrade.

I'm pretty sure that Ohio State fans are not happy with Ryan Day right now and that will escalate greatly if they lose tomorrow, which would essentially eliminate them from the B1G race and put them on the cusp of missing the CFP.

Ohio State fans are still fairly solid behind Day. My good friend is a big donor and is on the super-secret special donor chat room. Agreed that tomorrow is a huge game for both teams. Despite their left tackle injury problem and alarming lack of OL depth behind the starters (which is significant), tOSU is still favored by 3.5 at Penn State. It's the game of the week in NCAA football.

That surprises me but it sounds like your friend has good sources. I'm sure missing the CFP would change their view but I still think that's a long shot. Even if they lose tomorrow and end up with 2 losses I'm sure they will still get in despite having Indiana as their only win against a ranked opponent.

Man, Whitlock really hates Prime. It bothers me greatly that he cites Christianity as his basis.

I’m a Christian. Yeah, Deion has rappers show up at games. Sure, some of the lyrics the rap guys use are bawdy and all that.

First of all, Christ hung out with prostitutes, criminals, sinners and the dregs. He loved them. Encouraged them. Saved them. The Pharisees called Him a heretic. I assume if Whitlock had been a reporter at the time he’d have agreed with the Pharisees.

But most of all, only God knows what is in a man’s heart. Whitlock has zero clue what is in Deion’s heart. I’d imagine Deion speaks to Lil’ Wayne about faith and salvation. I believe Deion is sincere about his faith. Whitlock needs to repent!

Whitlock seems to think that "black culture" should be eliminated instead of celebrated. I think that is his real issue and that his use of "Christian" is really code for "acting in a way that fits in comfortably with conservative, White sensibilities".

Jason Whitlock found a way to stay somewhat relevant and get paid. He sold his soul to be the black guy that white racists can point to and say, “see, even this black guy says I’m not racist!” and they pay him handsomely for it.

It doesn’t go much deeper than that, IMO. I don’t think that he truly believes this stuff.

Like my youngest says, he’s a hypocrite who just wants clicks.
