2024 Game 1 Official Thread: NDSU @ COLORADO on ESPN at 6

There's a reason why many schools schedule tuneup games to start the season, Kansas is playing Lindenwood (who?) and Utah is playing Southern Utah for ****s sake (way worse teams). Probably wasn't wise to schedule the best FCS school first game with all of the roster turnover but a comeback win would be a huge confidence boost going into a really tough road game.

Agree 100%!! They should have dumped this game!!

This game was scheduled like 7 or 8 years ago. They should have dumped it as soon as they could. Just pay NDSU the money and say "thanks but no thanks."

The Buffs have got to figure out one of these years that they CAN NOT always be the team with the target on their back. I've never seen a 4-8 team that apparently LIKES to be 4-8. Play an NAIA team to open the season and then play a ****ty div. 2 team as well. For crying out loud. Win a game 55-0 for a change.

Hmmm. Even the focus of the halftime analysis was the o line giving 2 more time. But what do I know? 🤷🏼‍♂️

At least we’re exciting

NDSU mopped the floor with CSU 3 years ago or so I believe. They went 11-4 last year and the fan base was pissed. I think they are heavily underrated.

No doubt NDSU is a great team - in their division. I think they could pull an upset on a few Big 12 teams on a given Saturday. But they are still a team every team in the conference would be expected and favored to beat.
