2025 Colorado Football Schedule & Future Schedules

it's possible my google skills are lacking, but I don't think it's been announced -- has anyone seen a release date, announced or rumored, for the 2025 schedule?

again, last year's was released end of Jan.

let's play a guessing game:
  1. will CU have a Thursday night game this year? (XII had no intra-conference Thursday games in 24)
  2. a Friday game? (XII had seven Friday intra-conference games in 24, two of them were on Thanksgiving weekend)
  3. which opponent will we open conference play against?
  4. will we have back to back road games?
  5. which opponent do we play to close out the XII regular season?
  6. over/under on home games starting 10AM MT or earlier?
  7. over/under on home games starting 7PM MT or later?
  8. which opponent do we play beat in the XII CCG?

  2. a Friday game? (XII had seven Friday intra-conference games in 24, two of them were on Thanksgiving weekend) YES (home vs ASU)
  3. which opponent will we open conference play against? @KSU
  4. will we have back to back road games? NO
  5. which opponent do we play to close out the XII regular season? Iowa State
  6. over/under on home games starting 10AM MT or eelier? 1
  7. over/under on home games starting 7PM MT or later? 3
  8. which opponent do we play beat in the XII CCG? ASU

1. No. I thought there was a chance that CU could potentially open the season on Thursday against GT, but that looks like it's already scheduled for Saturday, 8/30.
2. Yes, there will be some conference game on Friday night
3. I'll say we open conference play on the road (first three non con games are at home) against TCU
4. Yes
5. Close out the season against Iowa State on Black Friday
6. 1.5 is O/U on 10am MT games
7. 4.5 is O/U on 7pm+ MT games
8. CU vs Kansas State in Big 12 CG and CU wins

These, unfortunately, seem very right to me. We won't get a conference game that kicks at a nice early or mid afternoon time slot.
Obviously this season was a prime (no pun intended) example of the Big 12 being very unpredictable, but our conference schedule looks very difficult based on how this season went.

The only realistic way we will have 10am kickoffs is if we're Big Noon and there are at least 2-3 conference games I could see Fox wanting (ASU, KSU, BYU and maybe ISU). Any of those are also realistic Friday/Saturday night games on ESPN, along with West Virginia and Utah.

See, my thinking doesn't even get that deep.

Fox and ESPN will want us on their main channels, but they won't want us on their main channels during the good slots. So we'll get the marginal ones.

Basically, we're too good of a ratings draw for relegation to ESPN2 or FS2, but we're not a good enough team to pull a 2-5pm Saturday kickoff spot.

Well Fox's (the entirety of CFB TV actually) good slot is 10am MT and I suspect we will have at least one and maybe two of those. Fox's "marginal" slots are the 2-5pm Saturday games.

I agree on ABC as their best slots is the 3:30 and 7:30 ET slots

1. Yes, but not in conference
2. Yes
3. BYU
4. Yes
5. Utah, big 12 brings back the rumble in the rockies
6. 1.5
7. 3.5
8. ASU

We have to be on the road for the last game, and thus I would love it to be West Virginia for the newly created JOHN DENVER CUP

So? We don't play Oklahoma State next year. Is it a rule that every year teams have to alternate home and away for the last game?
Ironically no. The Big12 scheduling system with 16 teams is a mystery. It would seem though that the league would alternate so teams would host during the Thanksgiving week in all fairness. The odds point to us on the road, but we shall see.

I don't think there's any factors which require us be away for the last conference game, but given we have 4 at home and 5 on the road, I suspect it's more likely that we are.

sure wish the conference would publish a release date.

Not a requirement. Texas was having their Thanksgiving week games at home going forward before they departed for the SEC. CU could request the same treatment though.

The last thing we should want to be is the new Texas in the reconfigured B12

ACC schedule is out (along with most everyone else).

Still haven't even seen a release date for the XII.

WTF is going on?

Good use of PE would be to buy out the games on Sep 6th and create an epic matchup in Atlanta that would draw 8M viewers, but both schools get the lions share of the game value. Then just have Delaware play Charlotte before the Buffs v Tarheels
