I'm not casting stones. If the buffs weren't showing promise, I think I'd be done with college football. It's only a matter of time for me, I think.
Same. It’s one of the reasons I will never be mad about the way Tad builds rosters.

I’d rather follow the same group of guys for 3-4 years than turn over half the roster every year.

Don’t care if option two leads to more wins.

The cream rose to the top earlier than it usually does. Even the conference tourneys were a bit meh this year.
I expect to see more of the same in future years.

The big budget schools, the ones that have the bags with golden embroidery on them, are not only going to be paying the best players to come to them but will have people actively scouting the lower budget conferences looking for the guys who are on the verge of breaking out.

They won't be waiting for the guys to have a couple of good years at the non-power conference school. They will be working actively with the agents who will be contacting the guys at middle of the country State or at Saint pick a name telling them that staying at their school means giving up six figures in cash.

In the past we have seen teams put together a solid hard working roster and then have somebody emerge and carry them to Cinderella status. We will still see teams build that solid hard working roster but the emerging star will already be gone to the SEC/B1G/etc.

What??? You don't care if the second option leads to more losing? No wonder you like Tad Boyle.

I don't have the numbers to back it up, but I feel like Boyle has turned over 1/2 the roster and isn't getting more wins.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this seems like Lose/Lose.

Tell me when Tad has cast off half his roster or lost them to the portal…and no, losing super seniors doesn’t count…as they shouldn’t have been here an extra year.

Tad isn’t kicking guys to the curb to bring in high powered transfers.

Winningest coach this school has ever had.

I truly pity you if the only enjoyment you get from sports is the win-loss column.
And isn't very good at reading the win-loss record. Over half of the 20+ win seasons in the history of the program have been with Tad as the coach, over half of the NCAA tourney appearances have been with Tad as coach.

And it isn't because CU has suddenly become a school that financiall supports basketball and makes it a priority. Tad has done a great job of taking some lemons and making lemonade.

In the process he has also generally had very high character teams. You don't read about Buffs basketball players doing things that embarass the school, you don't read about Buffs players failing in the classroom, getting involved in off campus trouble, getting thrown out of school, etc. In fact we see much more of guys like Evan Battey who I would love to have live in my neighborhood because he is a positive leader in all that he does.

I don't know who put the stick up his back end but buffs233 seems to only come here to either repeat the lies supporting Trump or to tear down and insult the Buffs, especially Tad. What a sad, pathetic, little person it takes to be that dumb and that negative at the same time.

I have to pick a winner. Bama or Tech? BYU kind of scares me.
FWIW, I think BYU has finally hit a team that is talented AND easily out-athletes them. Arkansas scares me more. They have a roster that can compete with anyone, but they went through games of looking like they didn't give a sh!t during the season. Half their losses were to teams still playing.

I stayed away from Ark/Tech. Tech is a good team but I don't trust them yet, and yeah feels like Ark has more in them.

This has easily been one of the least interesting Tournaments, perhaps ever

As far as down to the wire or buzzer beater games that's definitely true.

But as far as the lack of Cinderella's that aspect has been a bit overblown. Over the last 10 tournaments (2015-2024) only 10 non-P5/Gonzaga teams have made the Sweet 16 and of those only 4 were double digit seeds.

And over the last 10 tourneys only 17 double digit seeds have reached the S16. In 4 of those years only 1 double digit seed made the S16, as is the case this year. So this year may be an anomaly, but only a very slight anomaly.

It was the lack of first round upsets. I'm too lazy to look it up, but feels like its been awhile since nobody higher than a 12 seed advanced to the 2nd round. Plus a 10 and 12 seed were favored in their first round games. That may be normal just the first year I noticed it.

I took Bama. Playing for a Tech and Bama loss was a tempting play. But nope, Stupid Hank listened to Lama.

FWIW, I dropped a bundle on this parlay:
Bama ML
Florida ML
Michigan State (college hockey) ML
Minnesota (college hockey) ML

If you go down, I go down.
