I honestly think Colorado struggled with what most defenses struggled with last year in the Pac-12. That's the offenses improved by miles due to QBs being added into the league that are better than the previous year. Including getting transfer WRs who are miles better as well for some.We had the worst defense in the nation last year. Hard not to improve by a lot.
WR has been my biggest concern since Coleman went to Louisville. Traore is a nice weapon at TE and Horn is a great option, but they're still lacking depth and the ability to really stress a defense with multiple weapons. If they land Xavier Weaver, Tyson fully recovers and Miller and/or Hopkins are ready to contribute as freshmen, they could be OK, but that's a lot of ifs.I disagree on linebackers. They added about 6 as Prime is leaning to a 2-4-5. Which is two DTs, mainly NTs, two LBs with their hands in the dirt. Two roaming LBs with cover skills and five DBs. Three safeties and two CBs or three CBs and two safeties depending on the package.
Prime outside LBs operate like EDGE rushers
I actually have defense as the most improved and I have less questions. Offensively, I still have top-end WR questions and Left side of the OL questions.
Defense should be good this year. Most improved in the nation by a mile.
Even the depth is solid for Colorado on defense.

I am perfectly fine from WR3 to WR13. It's WR1 and WR2 that's a problem. Hopefully MLC or someone emerges to get one of these slots. If we get McClain, that means we got Hunter who is CB1 could be moved to CB4 and officially become WR1 which is critical. Reed is CB2 and Beasley is CB3.WR has been my biggest concern since Coleman went to Louisville. We said that about the offense in 2022We had the worst defense in the nation last year. Hard not to improve by a lot.
Would put Breedlove at 2/3/4 imoI am perfectly fine from WR3 to WR13. It's WR1 and WR2 that's a problem. Hopefully MLC or someone emerges to get one of these slots. The depth is fine. It's the top end WRs. They need to emerge. Weaver would help. MLC needs to emerge. Tyson needs to get healthy. Miller Hopkins should play but both shouldn't be getting too many snaps. But it's not top heavy at all.
The TEs could be better especially depth wise but you got one of the best in the nation in Traore. So you are good here.
I forgot about Breedlove. He can ball too. Yeah, hopefully, we can only use Hunter on specific downs on D so he can be a full time WR.Would put Breedlove at 2/3/4 imo
That's a significant improvement for them.I didn't realize how widespread the portal 'madness' was. UNC Greeley has a dozen players who have entered.
The depth is potentially ok if you add the #1/2 WR's, but as it is, everyone is being forced into a bigger role than they probably should be and we really don't know what Tyson's status is. Hunter would solve a lot of issues at WR, but I think I still prefer him starting at CB, then playing WR situationally. To me, that seems like a better use of his talents and, frankly, a better path to the pros for him.I am perfectly fine from WR3 to WR13. It's WR1 and WR2 that's a problem. I see your point. It depends. At JSU, he was needed a lot more at CB. At Colorado, if they get McClain, he's not as urgent of a need. He's still playing two ways but I rather him part time at CB whereas at JSU, he was more needed at CB full time. He's a 1st round CB for sure right now but he has HOF potential at WR. He's a much more talented wideout but he's still kinda raw whereas he's polished as a CB right now.The depth is potentially ok if you add the #1/2 WR's, but as it is, everyone is being forced into a bigger role than they probably should be and we really don't know what Tyson's status is. If they decide to move him to WR full time, I'm good with that. If they want to have him keep playing both ways, I think it's easier to have him play CB full time, then have an offensive package where he can get 15 snaps per game, than the other way around. It's going to be fun to see how they use him though. I'm sure Deion will get creative.I see your point. It depends. At JSU, he was needed a lot more at CB. Hunter's preference is WR over CB, right?I forgot about Breedlove. He can ball too. Yeah, hopefully, we can only use Hunter on specific downs on D so he can be a full time WR.
WR long term. He's a better CB but his high end NFL potential is at WR.Hunter's preference is WR over CB, right?
His routes in the Celebration bowl were too good. I hope we see him a lot at WR.WR long term. He's a better CB but his high end NFL potential is at WR.
His preference recently is WR but in HS, CB.
That’s interesting, in the celebration Bowl I thought he actually looked better at WR. Their offense seemed to hit another gear and it didn’t look like anyone could match up with him.WR long term. He's a better CB but his high end NFL potential is at WR.

He's always been JSU best WR by a mile but he's unpolished. Probably the most unpolished in the rotation. Whereas he's one of the most polished CBs in the nation. Even more polished than top CB prospect, Kelee Ringo. But he doesn't have much room for growth. He's already topping out as a CB.That’s interesting, in the celebration Bowl I thought he actually looked better at WR. I agree that the P12 improved a lot, but we didn’t. We regressed mightily.I honestly think Colorado struggled with what most defenses struggled with last year in the Pac-12. It was a completely different offensive league in 2022 than in 2021. So while the defense could have been a tad better in 2022, the offenses were so much better, they needed to improve at the same rate and couldn't.
I watched a lot of football and no conference improved as much as the Pac-12 and their defense didn't improve much at all for most but offenses massively improved. It's almost like a completely different conference.

Lmaooo. Their mainly new so shock jock behavior is appealing for them.Bro put "Colorado Buffs recruiting expert" in his bio? Lmao, the only expert is Adam and on3 doesn't even have a dedicated CU site. Clown behavior.

It's the same story you see with top CBs everywhere. PS2 with the Broncos is good enough that other teams just ignore him and go after the JAG or Rookie on the other side. Coach Prime is very familiar with that issue because both in college and the pros smart offenses just went the other way. He's always been JSU best WR by a mile but he's unpolished. Wideman has the 2nd most potential at JSU of the WRs with a 2nd round grade if he can live up to his potential. He just didn't fit in Coach Bart Air Raid but he should fit again with T.C. offense.
