I don’t think it’s a slam dunk, but his momma’s Twitter feed has @patebuff level of CU Buffs Kool-Aid pouring out. Hell, she was even retweeting pro Montez stuff for his sideline behavior for the WFT.
Not trying to speak for anybody but myself, but when it comes to CU recruiting, nothing is a slam dunk.
Oh how ironic it would be discussing how tough it's going to be going into SEC country to pull a blue chip recruit, only to watch him go to USC.

In fairness, I think the context was how tough it would be for Colorado to go into SEC country and pull a blue chipper. I think other PAC 12 schools would be expected to have better success.
That's what I mean, though. Everyone assumed he was a Buff lock, but worried about contending with SEC programs, only to find out another Pac 12 program might actually be his destination.

Nobody in P5 CFB can overcome Stanford's academic trump card if that is the highest priority for a recruit.

Cal-Berkeley can give them a run, but there is no question on Stanford’s might here.
This is true.
It is also true them moving from a Pac 12 powerhouse for a decade to average certainly helps as they are no longer a double threat.
