I put on a bit over 20lbs of quality weight (plus some not good lbs) my sr. Year of HS. It's part of the maturing process and for naturally big guys the muscle can go on quickly without chemical assistance.

The other issue is muscle maturity. Assuming he is still the listed 285 he may eventually get to a solid 320 but with a quality S&C developing his muscles he can contribute at this level at say 295 as long as it's a quality 295. He won't be as physically dominant as a Seaton (who is?) but he can be effective.

Then how do you explain the experiences of so many people.

I have known a number of people with similar experiences to mine adding significant muscle in a relatively short time without using roids or HGH or any other "booster." At the same time a good friend of mine in high school was super skinny (6'1" 120) and an outstanding baseball player and overall athlete. I never knew another person who ate as much as he did, he also lifted, worked out, but simply could not gain weight.

He worked for UPS after high school and continued to eat amazing amounts of food and never got over 135.

I'll go with science from people with actual PHD's who've been involved with body building and have taken PEDS and coached body building.

Adding a lb a month of lean muscle is the tip, tip top of muscle development without PEDs. Period.

You won't find anything that says otherwise.

You’re 100% wrong. Idk what “PHDs” would support your claim that 10-15 is tough without PEDs at 18 yo hahaha

We’re not talking bodybuilders who hit a plateau, we’re talking kids who are undergoing massive hormonal change

1% body mass / month is a reasonable target for someone entering a professional nutrition and lifting regimen. That would put him well above 20lbs in a year

He should improve his mobility/agility/cardio/etc, so I doubt they want him to do 20+ this year, but 10-15 with the other work should be super easy if he tries

I don't think you understand what are they talking about. Their data is for experienced body builders who have been systematically training for many years.

We are talking about 16-18 years teenagers.

This is so, so dumb. I’m pretty short. When I was about 21 I went from a skinny 135 lbs to a ripped 163 in less than a year working out at Bally’s 5 or 6 days a week for 1.5 to 2.5 hours a day. I ate a lot and took GNC supplements (weight gain shakes, creatine, vitamins). No PEDs ever.

Not at that age. Their growth hormones are at levels I might not be able to get to with PEDs. Also, they'll be in a world class strength and nutrition program for the first time.

From personal experience, I can tell you that I finished my senior HS year as a 231 lb tight end and reported to fall camp at 248 while cutting 2 inches off my waist.

I did ~30lbs of muscle my senior year of HS with a 24hr fitness membership and hella calories

Their data is available for pretty much any age group, athlete or not.

These people don't just train body builders.
Their data is wrong then.

There is a website called Google Scholar. You can search all the historical papers on this topic. You don't need those so called "expert" to tell you what's researched or not.
