Where will CU be ranked on Tuesday?

It's frustrating to hear them yammer about teams like oklahoma and, up until this week, A$M while not hearing a peep about Colorado. Maybe a win this week will change that.

A win against Washington State would be huge and solidify us in the Top-10. Really hoping we can get this done.

Man...ESPN trained me to go to their channel at 5:00 the last few weeks. I tuned in to basketball, and now I'm all

Here's my predicted top 10:

1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Louisville
4. Clemson
5. Michigan
6. Washington
7. Wisconsin
8. Penn State
9. Oklahoma
10. Colorado

It's hard to be sure what they'll do with 2-7....

Here's how I would rank the top teams.

1. Alabama
2. Michigan
3. Washington
4. Clemson
5. West Virginia
6. Ohio State
7. Louisville
8. Wisconsin
9. Colorado
10. Penn State
12. Oklahoma
12. Utah
13. Oklahoma State
14. Nebraska
15. Washington State
16. Florida

My rationale is to try to put teams in an order where they won't fall if they win out. To my mind, you pretty much have to win your conference to be eligible to win the nation when there are 5 major conferences and only 4 playoff spots; I can justify putting a 1 loss team in ahead of a 3 loss conference champ. In the end, I think you look at the number of losses a team has, and give a huge bonus for winning the conference by erasing 1.5 losses from those teams records, this way a 1 loss Louisville would still be in ahead of 3 loss VT or UNC if they upset Clemson in the ACC title game; after they're groped up by a standard of losses after giving a bonus for conference champs you then go to comparing SOS and the eye test.

I've tried to order everyone so they won't really be able to drop if they win out, it's kind of last minute so I'm sure I missed some ordering or a 2 loss team that has a chance to win a P5 conference. I'm not sure that gets the "best" teams in, but it puts an objective standard out there (WIN YOUR CONFERENCE if you want to win the nation) for all teams to aspire to.

As a conference, I think the Pac-12's best non-conference win was over BYU (Utah and UCLA both beat). Other contender would be Cal over Texas. It was a horrible start to the season along with some crappy scheduling.
And yet, the Sagarin rankings have the Pac12 North and South as the 2nd and 3rd best divisions in FBS, trailing only the SEC West. The rankings aren't perfect, but by some measure that should be free of sEcSPN bias, the Pac12 ranks out well.

Also, I'm rooting for the ACC to whoop the SEC in the upcoming 4 OOC rivalry games.

Louisville should whoop Kentucky
Florida plays at Florida State, my money is on the 'Noles
Clemson should whoop South Carolina
Georgia hosts Georgia Teach, which should be a good game.

Best case, Louisville and Clemson take care of business, ACC will still not gain respect because it will just be ACC's best doing what they should; and then GaTech and Fla.State both win big moving Florida out of the top 25, keeping Georgia out and giving Ga.Tech a crack at getting ranked.

5 minutes left of Kentucky abusing Michigan State on the hardwood. God it feels good to give a damn about the CFP rankings this year.

The past few years I spent November laughing at my August self for convincing myself that it was finally the season we'd be back in a bowl game.

College basketball games take for ****ing ever when you don't give a **** who wins and want to watch something else.
This Kentucky team is probably going to whoop UCLA and Arizona State, the Pac-12 RPI is going to take a beating at their hands.

Also, Oregon lost to the Waco Bears today. **** Bailer

hmmfff. Oregon can't be hurting the conference this year if we want to have an RPI cushion.

Getting whooped doesn't impact RPI. It doesn't take margin of victory into account. For RPI it's usually better to lose to very good team than to beat a mediocre or even decent one.

Wazzu only up to #22, ****ing Pirate, can't believe you let that Jaycee softball **** get onto the field against EWU.
Wait. Is it happening? Now?

Wazzu deserves better than 22. Undefeated in Pac 12. C'mon! That's a good football team!
