Alamo Bowl - Colorado vs. BYU—Dec 28— 5:30 PM—ABC

This. 100% obvious that they watched film and game planned. 100% obvious we did jack sh!t for prep. The one solitary reason I’m glad Shedeur, Shilo and Travis are gone. Sorry, we might be a better team because of this.
I thought those guys watch endless film? This comes down to our weaknesses. OL, LB, special teams, and no offensive balance.

Yep. The 4th leading tackler from Texas State (LB) is not going to fix the LB issues. CP needs to dump.Hart or get serious NIL redirected to the LB position asap.
Andre Hart and Gary Harrell can be hired over easily. We haven't had competence in the run game under this staff, and there's no way Harrell should get a pass for that.

Welp, onto portal season. This team out performed most everyone’s expectations and the progress from 2 years ago is truly amazing. With that said, there is a lot this staff should be learning from this beat down. This team was flat, over matched and much of the time looked disinterested.

Onto the portal, draft, prepping for next season.

Our offense all year has been pretty much one dimensional. Works well when we out athlete people. But lack of a rushing game has been a glaring weakness of this team. I not sure I would say Shedeur is well-coached, but he does have elite talent. I hope at the next level he can evolve into a more complete QB. You cannot just drop back and attempt to throw down field every play. I hope whomever drafts him looks at what it takes to develop a successful QB (a good Offensive Coordinator will help).

Travis Hunter has been a joy to watch. I am so sorry his era is over.

Prime is an amazing recruiter ( obviously) and the talent has covered up many coaching deficiencies. He has a long way to go to be a great coach. I’m sure he realizes that, hopefully. Also him not having his kids on the team might help. He definitely needs to stop being loyal to players/coaches that should not be playing/coaching. Mata/Hart as examples.
If he/we are going to compete to be in the CFP, these are things that must change.
This is a very embarrassing performance by the coaching staff and team.
Counterpoint.

For the roster that any coach took over, we would rightfully be thrilled that the glaring deficits on the roster were a thin LB room that Bama was happy to take a transfer from, a RB room full of guys that would probably not start at most other P4s, but would belong on the 2deep, a suspect o-line that at least is anchored by a 5 star LT who is a stud and a kicker that for all his extremely limited range is at least pretty accurate.

Given where we were two years ago, this has been an excellent season. Now time to have that QB competition in the spring & summer.
I'm basing this take off what I've seen of Salter and JuJu's HS playoff games, but both guys are more willing runners than Shedeur.

I wish we'd played in the PopTarts Bowl. :/

Humiliating end to a terrific season. Prime did not have them ready to play, period. Hats off to BYU and hopefully we can get revenge next season. Thanks for the memories, 2024 Buffs. The bar has been set; our conference will be up for grabs for the foreseeable future.

Horrible game. I guess BYU game planned to beat us and we game planned for a SS and TH show that only sparked twice. Still a great season , but this was embarrassing.

I’ve played/coached with an endless string of dudes who watched hundreds of hours of film. Now ask me what percentage of those dudes could actually turn what they watched into positive action.
Do you watch TCal and his breakdowns? He has preached that this is not Shurmur's offense at all, not even 1%, it is what Coach Prime and Shedeur want ran.
