I wanted Schumann over Lanning myself.
Yes. Yes. Saw UGA live three times last year. Could not take eyes off 3. Plus he’s been in Player Development and Personnel at Bama and UGA. This position, among many support positions, is severely in need of a huge upgrade in staff and approach.

I just realized though that Chev is not Co-OC anymore.

If it's Co-OC non playcalling for Martin I'm all for it.

Riddle me this, this is a “No Excuse Program” but we kept Chev with a failing grade as a coordinator? I know his a Buff, Bieniemy was and still a great Buff! took responsibility for the offense and walk away knowing he recruited some great Buffs to help Colorado rise from the ashes.

I can understand if he was a position coach, but as a coordinator he is just as responsible for the last two season as HC and the DC.

2016 class recruited Shenault’s class not Chev. Top 10 ranking in the country.

CU is a National Brand period! No Excuse!

This is why Chev is no longer a coordinator, and is back to receiver coach.

That's your big problem with the staff so far? That Chev got demoted to a WR coach?

THIS 100%. You're all sh!tting your diapers because he kept the coaches we thought he would (and probably the right ones). Who of those 4 shouldn't be here and why? C'mon, tell me. And offer up a solid, factual argument. Chev and Hagan are damn good recruiters and Drake will likely be just as good given the chance. If any of you actually asked prospects and players alike, they'd tell you that. We all rant and rave and cheer about how awesome a hire Tucker is and how smart and focused he is and then suddenly don't trust he knows what he's doing 5 days later. WTF?!

Get a f***ing grip.

Just curious why you think Hagan is a “damn good recruiter”? I see no evidence to support that statement especially in comparison to Chev. Chev is clearly our best recruiter from the last staff and nothing remotely places Hagan near his level. Hagan hasn’t recruited anyone that’s made a difference in his position group.

Not sure what you mean on the Shenault comment either.

Sorry, what I meant some says his a great recruiter as well; but if you look at the ranking

Prior to the 2016 season
Rivals - 65/ 247 - 69

After the 2016 season “the rise” (Shenaults class) Colorado top 10 ranking
Rivals - 32/ 247 - 35

After the 2017 season (going backwards)
Rivals - 51/ 247 - 52

After the 2018 season (coaching changes)
With Coach Tucker in play, hopefully we can get a boost

He recruited most of those guys BEFORE the 2016 season started. Most were on board because he recruited them.

Yeah I’m not sure what you’re trying to prove here. Chev is 7th in the PAC 12 conference, he’s the best recruiter we have. I even saw a quote that said Shenault was shy but he really got along with Chev and they hit it off.

What I’m saying, Chev can offered and sell Colorado, but winning makes recruiting easier for any coordinator or program. As we all witnessed in 2016, no athlete was buying what we were selling until we shocked the PAC 12 with the rise.

The following year we didn’t make a bowl, we offered scholarships to top athletes that year as well but we didn’t get their commitment because of our old ways.

Yes, winning makes recruiting easier.

So what is the vibe on drake? I was hoping tucker would get a poly guy or someone in sec country for DL. I thought we played better up front in 2018, can he recruit to what tucker wants?

Viska committed to CU before the 2016 season, as did most of that class. Chev did work when he first came in.

Most of the 2017 class committed well before the 2016 season started. How many times does it need to be said before you drop a flawed talking point?

Has it actually been confirmed that Hagan is coming back in an assistant role? That’s the only head scratcher for me as this point. RB coach is a great opportunity to bring in a recruiter. It’s hard to say Hagan has been that looking at our roster.
