This is my yearly advice that if you ever get the chance to attend an Army-Navy game in person, do it. One of the best sports events I’ve ever witnessed.

Only thing I could think of on the 2 pt conversion was that they had had a couple very ugly looking tries earlier with the placekicking. IIRC one blocked and one made that should have been blocked because it was low but slid between potential kick blockers. They had also had some ugly long snaps.
Might be that the coach just had little confidence in that unit by that point.
