Board of Regents Public Meetings this week...

The disrespect comes from tying MacIntyre's contract extension and raise to the results of the independent investigation.

What if the investigators discover that the university lied and knew of Tumpkin's TRO before the Alamo Bowl? In that scenario there should be a little hell to pay.

If it's confirmed that the Boulder Camera broke the news to CU about the TRO on Jan 6th, consistent with what has been reported, then it's much easier to justify learning from the experience and moving on.

Either way it turns out, holding MacIntyre's money hostage to some prolonged investigation seems like the wrong way to go.

As a measure of good faith, atleast pay the man his money. To do otherwise is basically assuming that he is guilty until proven innocent.

Prolonged investigation? Based on what?

The hyperbolic statements on both sides are getting tiresome. I believe the investigation will clear MacIntyre, his extension will be approved shortly after, and everyone will move on. On the off chance MacIntyre did something egregiously wrong, why would you approve the extension before the investigation?

Let's define "Prolonged" in terms of beyond August 1st.

I didnt say "approve the extension." I said pay the man his raise. To clarify - advance his salary until such time the extension is approved by the regents.

Agree that hyperbolic statements are tiresome. Not sure to whom you are directing that comment. Seems out of place.

Looks like the Regents will be meeting on Monday at 10:30 in Denver...
The University of Colorado's Board of Regents has scheduled a closed-door session early next week as the school prepares to receive the findings of an external investigation into the Boulder campus' handling of domestic violence allegations against a former assistant football coach.
According to a notice from the university, the regents will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at 1800 Grant St. in Denver. The agenda calls for the regents to immediately recess for an executive session, in which the board will "discuss a personnel matter at CU Boulder and receive legal advice on specific matters."
The agenda also leaves time for "possible board action item(s)" following the executive session.
