Bowl Games (other than ours) and associated silliness 2024 Plus the Playoffs

I totally thought they were going to ruin the game and call OPI.

The SEC

First off the announcing crew is someplace between ridiculous and insane in calling the Texas CB Barron "The best defensive back in college football." They might be right only because Travis has already played his last game of college football.

Jeanty is the best RB in college football, not quite as good as his statistics because he played against lower competition. He will be rightly the first RB picked in the draft.

That said somebody is going to get a very good NFL back in Skattebo. Running in the NFL is different than college and his talents match that well.

He is good at reading blocks and picking his hole, he gets to the hole quickly before it closes and has enough wiggle to get guys off balance. He is hard to tackle, doesn't go down on first contact and falls forward for positive yardage. He also is very secure with the ball, is a solid pass blocker and a plus receiver out of the backfield.

Biggest negatives are that he doesn't have great top end speed so he gets run down from behind. His style also has him taking a lot of hard contact and in the NFL that means you don't tend to stay healthy or have a long career.
