Brandon Davies dismissed from BYU basketball team

If dismissed from the team, does he have to sit out a year at another school if he transfers?

Actually, I bet it would be easy for him to get that year waived if this honor violation was something unique to BYU. Here is the code, according to sidebar at espn.com:

• Be honest
• Live a chaste and virtuous life
• Obey the law and all campus policies
• Use clean language
• Respect others
• Abstain from alcoholic beverages, tobacco, tea, coffee and substance abuse
• Participate regularly in church services
• Observe the Dress and Grooming Standards
• Encourage others in their commitment to comply with the Honor Code

Damn, that seems tough.

Undisclosed "Honor Code Violation".

The 6'9" 235lb soph center was averaging 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

Maybe Tad should get on the phone and let him know we'd love to take him as a transfer and we'd have zero problem with it if he wants to drink a beer or get a blowjob.

When I was in school I would break all those rules simultaneously.

I think I have broken all of them in the last hour. I have a hard time not breaking these! Too bad there is not a rule more specifically addressing sexual intercourse.

Great guys.. Let's all mock another school's religious affiliation.

Haven't done that. Mocked their honor code. But I would be happy to mock their religious affiliation if it would make you happy.

You do know the Honor Code is strictly based after the LDS Church right? I'm guessing you didn't know that.

I had an idea, but I don't really care. I give it as much weight and respect as I would a religious based code that allows for the stoning of women or the torture of infidels.

What was said that offended you exactly?

Wasn't even anything you said, so it was kind of funny when you stepped up to the plate regarding the topic. But "Buffnik"'s comment..

"Maybe Tad should get on the phone and let him know we'd love to take him as a transfer and we'd have zero problem with it if he wants to drink a beer or get a blowjob."

For one, CU doesn't tolerate drinking either. Sure, its not against a school rule that is religious based, but CU is a dry campus. And believe me, im not ignorant about what happens on our campus. ha!

So what exactly is your point? Do you have a problem with beer and/or blowjobs?

btw, CU is not a dry campus. I drink on campus at every tailgate. Also buy beer and wine in the Club rooms at both football and basketball games.

And you can buy (3.2) beer in the umc anytime. So pc dude stop sullying our university's good name by saying it's dry. And stop being so ****ing lame. And get me beer. And a burrito.
