Landing some true beasts would be great.
Heck, if we can get to where we have 70+ P5-caliber players and 105 guys who have given complete cultural buy in by Fall Camp, we will win enough to bowl and compete in the South, at a minimum. I think that's attainable. If we can add a handful more dudes as part of that, things get serious in a hurry.

TF does he mean, haven't even started yet, there's 25 dudes from the portal lol.

Also, what does he mean, "as soon as we're allowed to"? Is that a timing thing?
It means he ain't hard to find and they coming.

The portal is closed right now. Opens again May 1st through May 15th.

He means that the portal is closed until after the semester.
It also probably means more grad transfers and maybe JCs & multi-year transfers who needed this semester to get eligible for CU transfer admissions. Not stated but can be read in between the lines of that statement is that there is a lot more attrition coming to make room.

What is it that triggers a transfer being "counted", is it just once they are enrolled? Not saying that this is the case, but if someone they brought in for the spring wasn't working out could thet re-transfer without penalty? I think we need about 10 more transfers out just to get to 85, plus however many to offset the summer transfers. Are there even that many players left from last year?

We have that many. Just in returning RBs and TEs this spring, it's around 10 guys.

This DNVR pod with Snelson is a good listen. One part about midway through, Snelson talks about being asked by Prime who he wants as voiceover/narrative of some of his videos and Snelson just randomly throws out Ice Cube as a name, and Prime just says, "alright I'll get him". Snelson has to be dreaming right now.

This could go in the "Prime Effect" thread. I think it's one (of many) very good example of why Prime is so successful. Snelson is awesome at his job. He made us tear up (in a good way) with videos of the **** sandwich that has been on the field the last 10 years and when the team was actually good in 2016 he was doing award winning good ****. Many people coming into a ****ed up organization like this AD was would not take the time to either get to know someone like Snelson or his work. And, unlike most, Prime also came in with an entire media empire already doing epic ****. Regardless, Prime immediately recognized what this guy brought to the table. He didn't fire him and replace him with his own guys. He also didn't keep him and ignore him. Instead, he recognizes he's got a star and says "what do you need to be even better" and then he goes and gets it for him. That's the Prime Effect.

Shedeur spends a half-hour talking to Brandon Marshall. It's a great look at his personality and he seems like a genuinely good guy.

$7 million?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you drank 2 gallons of juices a day, you wouldn't have to worry about if you'd also drunk enough water.

In terms of what we will see on the field next Fall, I think this is more important than most of CP's videos.

I went down this rabbit hole a few years ago over whether coffee counted as water.

there's two schools of thought:
  • "yes it does". coffee and juice are mostly H20 and you're getting all the hydration you need by counting that as part of your daily water total
  • "no, it shouldn't". the daily water consumption guidelines are not just about keeping you hydrated; they're also aimed at keeping your intake of other liquids down to avoid taking in caffenine from coffee, alcohol from beer and sugar from juice. drink your two gallons of water per day and I bet you aren't thirsty enough for much of the others.

Drinking coffee, alcohol and beer is never about being thirsty...

Feels like we don’t have that many players still left from last years team.

Probably double digit returning starters, though, so there's some quality competition and depth from that. Maybe some starters, especially on the lines.
Off the top, Lictenhaun, Wells, Wiley, Tyson, MLC, Deion Smith all returning starters on offense. I think all those guys will either start or provide good competition and depth in 2023.

For defense, returning starters are Woods, Reed, Wiggins, Bethel, Sami and Rodman, with a smattering of guys who got some PT or started a game or two like Oliver, Simeon Harris, Marvin Ham, Aubrey Smith, Tyrin Taylor and Dylan Dixson. I think there

S and CB are going to be absolute battles

I wonder what he thinks of what he’s seen so far from last years roster. I don’t think he says “we haven’t even started” just to say it. Makes me believe >11 of the 2022 players leave (puts us at 85).

I count another 20 we could part with which would give the team another 9 or so transfers to operate with. That would be awesome.

There are ~15 returners I think are quality.

Exactly. I think 20 more guys leaving come May is the O/U. I definitely think there are going to be some “surprises” among that group. Guys like Tyson, Rodman, Sami, Wiley, Deion Smith, Trevor Woods, Marvin Ham. It’s not all going to be bottom of the roster, non-P5 level guys

Those leaving will probably include some surprises.

We see players talent and as bad as this team has been there are some talented players left over.

What we don't see is the buy in, is the willingness to leave past attitudes and habits and beliefs behind and be 100% with winning.

Prime would rather have a lesser talent with the right attitude than have a guy who's attitude isn't completely about winning.

Woods is a guy I think could be a really solid player, some of the others as well. I'm guilty of being so disgusted I couldn't watch anymore than I did with the former staff, ****ing amateur hour. We'll see how it shakes out, seems like utter chaos with spots, possible transfers, and what not.

Not a stand-out video, but CP as a teacher and lots of sprints.

I was impressed he was sporting a CU Cross-Country hoodie. He works to broaden his appeal, all the time

I also like the "WE COMING" shirts the players were wearing. Are they, or the "IBELIEVE" shirts available on-line?
