COACH PRIME SIGNS 5 YEAR EXTENSION

It will be interesting indeed with Saliman as president. We were on the cusp of falling completely off the radar in the P5 realm but all it took was leadership that realized the obvious value of a relevant and successful football program.
When RG retires (which I would assume is in the next two years), TS and JS need to do the following.

- discuss Prime’s long term goals and determine how confident they are that Prime wants to stay beyond the new contract length
- if they are confident Prime wants to be here past 2029, find out his desires for his new boss. If the main thing is autonomy and freedom to do as he pleases (which I would assume is really the only driving factor) find someone that is willing to work with that while still being a great AD for the other sports
- if they are not, find someone who can take CU into the post Prime era.
- ensure that whichever option they go with, the new AD understands the he/she have the full backing of the university to pursue competitive excellence in sports, football most importantly.

I’d have candidates put together a 10 year plan. The person needs to be a visionary, inspirational, and a proven leader. The person needs to be a phenomenal fundraiser with a strong business acumen. The person needs to be a former football player and Olympic skier.

This isn’t the 1970’s or ‘80’s. No more buddy boy schmoozing 70 year old fat guys need apply.

Does the person’s last name have to rhyme with Schloom?

Can we please stop it with this BS in CP’s thread. CP is our coach for at least the next 5 years and high probability for the next decade.

If Coach Prime leaves us, we can go get Dillingham and make $6-7 million.

Dillingham's buyout terms on his new contract:
  • $5 million before Dec. 1, 2025
  • $4 million before Dec. 1, 2026
  • $3 million before Dec. 1, 2027
  • $2 million before Dec. 1, 2028
Dillingham isn’t leaving his beloved A$U.

The point of the post was to point out Dillingham's buyout for everyone crying about Prime's buyout. Not that we would actually replace Prime with Dilly.
Understand your point. But, I think Dillingham has a deal that’s easily 40% less than his market value, which will continue since he loves A$U. The liquidated damages buyout Colorado has with Prime is competitive.
