When RG retires (which I would assume is in the next two years), TS and JS need to do the following. It will be interesting indeed with Saliman as president. We were on the cusp of falling completely off the radar in the P5 realm but all it took was leadership that realized the obvious value of a relevant and successful football program.
- discuss Prime’s long term goals and determine how confident they are that Prime wants to stay beyond the new contract length
- if they are confident Prime wants to be here past 2029, find out his desires for his new boss. If the main thing is autonomy and freedom to do as he pleases (which I would assume is really the only driving factor) find someone that is willing to work with that while still being a great AD for the other sports
- if they are not, find someone who can take CU into the post Prime era.
- ensure that whichever option they go with, the new AD understands the he/she have the full backing of the university to pursue competitive excellence in sports, football most importantly.
