COACH PRIME SIGNS 5 YEAR EXTENSION

I was incorrect on my initial research but was corrected.

It’s larger than Kirby and Dabo’s* who are also top 5 coaching salaries. It’s actually really solid.

*Unless Dabo were to leave for Bama, then it’s some absurd number like 150% of the remaining contract

:ROFLMAO:

I thought $118 million for Kirby and $60mm for Dabo sounded crazy.

Prime did a press conference today and was asked about his extension. Paraphrasing, but he said he told everyone he loved it here and wanted to be here and wasn’t lying. Said he had some things to take care of… Collectives, NIL, other coaches… before he committed long term.

Pretty obvious that securing $$$NIL$$$ commitments was the contingent factor and he got what he wanted/needed. Can’t imagine it’s very far off from what most of the blue bloods are working with if he’s satisfied.

Even though he didn't preempt the announcement by calling it out, I guarantee that Folsom enhancement commitments was part of it too.

Was there anything about it in his contract? Wasn’t the Champions Center in MacIntyres contract? He did comment on the decision to go to turf by saying they expect to be in the playoff.

agree with above. The negativity or slight adds fuel to his fire…he’s just like that. CU has now given him the gas for the Lambo with the new contract and NIL so now he has everything he needs here to build a powerhouse here.

This has got to light an absolute fire under Prime to continue to do it “outside the establishment of the NFL/SEC/BIG”.

Prime will now do everything he can to win the Natty at Colorado.
Until he gets that coaching offer from the NFL. Then he's gone. But that's football in this modern world of excessive pay and egos.
