Coach Prime's Current Health

My personal favorite are the calls to 911 on fast food restaurants for short changing or skimping on their drive through meals. I’m sure the detectives are going to get right on those two missing McNuggets.

It's really none of anybody's fvcking business except him, his family and other loved ones, friends, and his players. The University as well, I guess. **** the media, they don't need to know unless he sees fit.
I think we may see a favored media interview about his health released before he speaks which will allow him to reiterate answers when he gets asked at Media Days.

Prime's motivational stuff has really reminded me of a guy coming through a bad breakup lately.
I’d still be missing her, too.

You all spent 4 pages discussing his health and yet, “god has truly blessed me” odds were 2:3

In back tracking on his earlier comments, M Irvin still makes things seem as though they were/are very serious.

Saying even those very close to CP don't know the full story, is a little scary to me.

I thought CP looked very subdued, somewhat unsteady.

CP has intentionally made himself into a media creature, .so public speculation about his health is not out of line. For all the "I ain't that hard to find" talk, he has almost disappeared

I bet it was a respiratory infection, based on Irvin's statements. Like a double pneumonia with bronchitis, COVID, or something serious like that. Pneumonia can take several weeks to clear even with aggressive treatment, and the damage to the lung capacity can be long lasting. Would explain the raspy voice and the need to be training with the weight belt to recover strength. It would also be a key indicator of why they didn't have him come back to Boulder for medical evaluation as it would have meant being in a lower pressure environment and less effective O2 available for the lungs. Us office schlubs would have been back to work the moment the infection wasn't contagious, but there was really no need for Prime to be back on campus when you have 10+ other coaches and an entire operations staff that can effectively manage things while you are absent.

He was sweating and looked run down, but he appears to be trending up. Sucks after having fought through his legs and feet to get in good shape he had a setback. The stress of the draft had to weigh on his faith and beliefs. Time will heal him

I have avoided speculating or forming any opinions. I'm gonna stick with that. Coach Prime will tell us what he wants to divulge at the time he wants to divulge it. I wish him the best and hope to see him fully recovered and recharged for coaches meetings ahead of fall camp.

I think it hits all of us strange, his silence, especially since he has been so upfront with his previous issues. I recall that visit with Drs at CU about his feet. Holy smokes. Full Monty. Now nothing. He clearly doesn’t want to address it this time. That’s OK.

Pneumococcal pneumonia is the serious one. Your thesis is very reasonable. Good post throughout.

Sickest I’ve ever been in my life was double pneumonia. At one point my heart rate was running at like 135 just sitting on a couch trying to watch tv.
