College Football News, Rumor & Humor

I read that and was shocked by that number. People are disregarding the warnings they're putting out about the riptides.
Those warnings are just the government trying to control people; folks need to do their own research.

It's called the redneck riviera for a reason, and at the end of the day there is a human cost to leading the public to distrust public health and safety authorities.

Swim parallel to shore, then once you're out of the current swim back to shore.

I've seen riptides from the air, they look scary.

I was also caught in a weak one on a beach in Mexico when I was in 6-7 year old range. A strong swimmer literally saved my life.

That experience served as serious motivation to be an ideal student at future summer swim lessons. Looking back, I find it interesting that it didn't make me shorebound for life. I have zero idea what it was that tipped me one way or the other, because now I can see that it could easily have gone the other way.
When I was new to Florida I was caught in one while trying to surf. My friend who lived there his entire life had to help me out. When I got to shore I pretty much collapsed I was so exhausted. My friend educated me on what to do in case that ever happened again.

I'm driving up from LA to Berkeley in Sept. for the Auburn-Cal game. Will be my first Auburn/SEC game. Any advice @Duff Man

I think you should be super nice to Auburn fans and act like you're trying to bond with them. With a friendly smile, say things to them like, "I've always had a ton of respect for Auburn ever since Bear Bryant was coaching you guys."

Ask them about their trees.

Just ask them "Don't you guys usually win more games when you are wearing those dark red jerseys and helmets?"

Pruitt on a "show cause" for 6 years. Very telling that this level of violations didn't result in even a 1-year postseason ban for Tennessee. NCAA is so weak.

Nicole Auerbach said the NCAA has stopped penalizing the current players for violations of prior coaches or the University itself. I can get behind that, but the penalties that don't affect the current penalties should be very steep

With this precedent, it's simply a "pay to cheat" scheme.

Hire a competent coach. Pay him enough money that neither he nor his kids ever need to work again. Pay your players without even bothering to pretend it's NIL; ignore any and all academic standards while doing so.

Win.

Get caught.

Fire the coach, pay a fine, rinse, repeat.

He's either lying to keep someone from transferring or they both suck. Everyone knows that 2 QB rotations don't work and Freeze is a smart coach of offense.
