College Football News, Rumor & Humor

I know Brandon Lewis is no longer part of the CU football program but his former high school is pumping $ into the football program.

The really heartbreaking thing is that he discovered the conservatorship just this year. He had a lawyer - hired by the Tuoys - who advised him to sign the deal represented as an adoption. The Tuoys responded that they didn’t make “much money” from the film release. Apparently they have the same accountants as movie studios.

Wait until UCF rolls into Boulder. With the high altitude and dry air they will have a hard time breathing and chap lips, no way they can beat CU.

Same thing for Houston. They both will learn who the real space school is.

Yeah. They made just enough to buy a bunch of door franchises and live large.

Their response of claiming that Oher threatened them and tried to extort them for $15M to not go public with this didn't resonate with me at all. If I was him, I'd have also made an offer to take a settlement to seal it before going public or suing.

I was always skeptical of the public story anyway.

The public story always felt fishy, but Oher is a smart guy. He was a really solid NFL player who made a very good living, so it felt like everything worked out alright. The missing pieces about the misrepresented conservatorship and the family friend/lawyer who did him wrong just stinks the whole thing up.

So I would have to imagine the Red Raiders thing has to do with killing Comanches?

Damn, that's harsh.

It wasn't until 1936 that Texas Tech fans and students came to be called "Red Raiders." Collier Parrish, sports editor of the Lubbock Morning Avalanche, gave the team its new nickname because of their all-red uniforms and rigorous coast-to-coast schedule.

A quick thing... Is there a reason you (and others) are posting the hyperlinks to tweets rather than imbedding them? Rather not click on the link to take me to Twitter.

I'm doing it the same as I always did. Click the "copy link" button on the right side of the bottom bar. Then I click "paste" on AB. That posted the full tweet until today.
