Lanning is one of those guys who is supremely confident that he's the alpha of manly cool but is actually a tool. I hope his ego takes him to the NFL where he'll crash and burn because the grown men he'd be trying to coach would recognize him as a joke and have no respect. Seems to play well with 17-22 year olds, though.
Are you talking about Lanning or Prime? Most people outside of our vaccuum say similar things about Neon. And let's face it, the way our team imploded, they have ample ammo.

“5 star meal”

A discerning man of taste and propriety is aware of the 1-3 star system in dining. What a low-class and unwashed peasant

Sure doesn’t help having the signing period in the middle of bowl season. And of course there are guys entering the draft.

There isn’t much that can be done due to the semester schedule. Transfers need to find a new school within a tight frame and bowls mean little due to expansion and the playoff.

Interesting point - now with expanded playoffs that could flow into the beginning of spring semester, will teams vying for a natty lose even more players now just so they can enroll at a new school?

Depending upon the institution, field of study, method of delivery, instructor load, and so on solutions are possible. Late start classes, online delivery, adjunct instructors, reform of school schedules, dual enrollment, etc are solutions to allow student-athletes to stay for post-season play and transition to a new school. What is currently lacking are central governing bodies for the relevant parties. I could see the turnover going either way with the increased playoff field.

Candidates to break that streak?

Ole Miss
Oregon

Freeze simply meant to show off the fact that Ole Miss claims a trio of national championships. The years of those titles, since they're not indicated in this graphic, were the ones claimed by John Vaught's 1959, 1960, and 1962 teams.

Those titles were far from unanimous, with five teams also having the right to claim shares of that 1960 title. According to Wikipedia's collected data, Ole Miss was awarded its national titles by Clyde Berryman, the Dunkel System, and Jeff Sagarin (1959); the Billingsley Report, the College Football Researchers Association, Harry DeVold, Dunkel again, the Football Writers Association of America, the National Championship Foundation (which appears similar to the Researchers Association), and something called the Williamson System (1960); and Billingsley again, something called Litkenhous that appears to be affiliated with the Louisville Courier-Journal and is often used for high school football, and Sagarin again (1962).

FVCK Eugene community college. Hope they never win a title
