College Football News, Rumor & Humor

I will always maintain that we don't deserve the unconditional love dogs have for us. On a side note, I read something from a vet the other day pleading with dog/animal owners to stay in the room with their pets when they are being put down. The vet said many owners can't handle being in the room for it and therefore say their goodbyes and leave the room before the dog has passed, and the vet is left watching the dog, in their last moments of life, frantically looking around for their owner in a foreign room with a stranger they have no connection with.

I'm a complete mess when it comes to the idea of my pets passing, and that ****ed me up.

TL/DR - If you have to put your pets down, understand that you are their whole world and stay in the ****ing room until they are gone.

That is one of saddest things I've read. I've had to put down two dogs in the last ten years. The thought of leaving them before they died never crossed my mind.

Every doge we’ve put down gets the juice in another room and then is reunited with us for the final moments oer veterinarian insistence. I wish it wasn’t like that.

Understand what you are saying. Putting down peoples pets who are part of their family isn't easy for the vets either. I can understand how they would have different preferred ways of dealing with it.

Interesting side note, the other day at the tire shop as I was waiting for an oil change ended up having a conversation with a DPW Agent, a game warden.

We were talking about wildlife in developed areas including deer, bears, mountains lions. He said far and away the toughest parts of his job was putting down animals that had reached the point that they had lost fear of humans of wouldn't stay away from seeking food from human sources. He had no problem with hunting and does some himself but is bothered but killing animals who's only issue is raking advantage of the food humans put in their way bothers him a lot.

I did not realize CSU is second place in the MWC. They could play Boise State for the conference championship and their remaining schedule looks favorable. They still have Wyoming at home and you never know with the rivalry games.

I would laugh my ass of if they beat Boise and got into the playoffs.

With all of pub and attention that CU has garnered ( this year especially) I’m not sure many people outside of the MWC footprint realize the state of Colorado has more than one (1) college football team. I know I wouldn’t had I not graduated from CU and previously lived in Colorado. This is a bad time for CSU to be “successful” and flying under the radar.

That CSU is in this position is huge indictment of the quality of the MWC.
