College Football Realignment

Mullet Arena in Tempe, Arizona. This is a joke, right?

TBH, that sounds rather "victimy" to me. Not something I associate with his style.
It’s keeping receipts and calling out the media for hypocrisy and bad takes that have centered around CU in order to get clicks. He’s done this from the beginning, starting immediately after the TCU game where he called out Ed Werder in his post game press conference. It’s entirely on brand for him.

I get that. But what's the expectation, that you take it on the chin with attack pieces unfairly targeting you and then not call out the media on its bs double standard when they don't say anything about everyone else doing the same thing?

I don't always agree with Coach Prime. Sometimes I cringe because I know he is going to create backlash by speaking out. But, damnit, I am going to have his back as he calls it like he sees it, speaks his mind, and calls it out when he sees injustice. I can deal with the negative press. And, honestly, the media loves when he does this. It gives them good content for articles, talk shows and podcasts (they're only acting upset while loving Deion "the golden goose" Sanders).

yea, there's some forced enthusiasm about his health here. Ah well I'm sure everything is fine.
He looked okay, but 5 years older, more serious. He wasn't going to throw on his sunglasses.

Clearly his most important comments were about the lack of pads in DB's shorts. We may have a player revolt.

Rick George was on DNVR today and talked about a number of things. Among them:

1. He acknowledged that there will be another round of alignment in 3-5 years and they are positioning themselves in the best possible way to be part of that

2. They have great plans for the west side renovation and hope to get approval and move forward with the process this year

3. Would love to play Nebraska every year

4. Acknowledged that some programs tried sneaking in pay for play NIL deals from collectives ahead of the Settlement/Rev Share was approved but they weren’t going to participate in that. Also said there have already been NIL deals of other programs denied by the clearinghouse

5. Says they are committed to spending the maximum rev share every year, mostly on football, but all athletes will benefit in some way and they won’t cut sports

Just thinking about it makes my head hurt.
Colorado is either going to be part of a 24 team B1G10 or part of a new P3 Superconference with the best of the rest from B12 and ACC that gets Private Capital and is wooed by Amazon or Netflix. The B12 will not be a power conference by 2030 fo sho

They're not one now.
Rick George has had an up and down career at CU and made a lot of dumb choices, but he seems laser focused right now with Prime to do everything possible to make CU a top 48 program, brand, and school. There is no reason we are not going to be in the big boy club, and I must give RG his props for the past 24 months of work. Conference Loyalty has gotten us nothing, literally nothing the entire time. Going to the PAC was a huge mistake considering the brand we had and the stupid choices that our admin chose to do during our dark days

I’ll believe it when I see it.

We could get in. But I think ND, FSU, Clemson and a few others are ahead of us or right there with us.

I doubt there is any movement until the next round of rights deals comes up. We may not have Sanders anymore by then.

TV might also realize what the right numbers and combinations are to make streaming work. Or not.

I kind of expect Tv to start pushing for a culling of the Indianas and Vanderbilts out of the conferences. The conferences eventually agree to it because dividing $100m by 12 instead of 14/16/18 means more money per school. Or the Big Fish schools threaten to leave for the Super Conference or actually do.
