CSC is a real one!
Especially how bad the MWC was this season.
He’s among an elite group of RBs, but rushing for 2000+ is not some automatic Heisman winning feat. He finishes just ahead of Henry but well behind Melvin Gordon and Barry Sanders. Also, of the 12 on this list, only 4 won the Heisman.

IIRC, Kevin Smith had something crazy like 500 touches in '07. Insane.

A lot of fans focus too much on the numbers. Heisman is also about how a player is perceived by voters and his peers, etc.
It's like how Anquan Boldin has better career numbers than Andre Johnson, but Andre is in the HOF, but Anquan never will be.
Everyone knows Andre was a better player.
Everyone knows Travis is the best player in the country, and he's going to win the Heisman be ause of that fact.

give you that for sure.....they had like 18 starters back from Big XII championship game team.
Talk about a double standard when something gets used to promote the sport and the broadcasts but yet draws a penalty ...

There is a video angle of the Travis Hunter Baylor Overtime Forced Fumble Goal Line Play that I saw once but cannot find now. CSC absolutely told and motioned Hunter to move into the correct position like 3 seconds prior to the snap, which Hunter did. Absent that direction from CSC, this might have been a completely different season.

The schedule we played in 1994 makes Boise State’s schedule look like a joke.
When the greats of the game talk about how hard it is to play at his level with all the snaps he takes and then dudes in their momma’s basements view that as a demerit, you know it’s only about an axe to grind over Prime.
