Conference Championship Games 12/6-12/7

It's incredibly unlikely Oregon wins the natty. The expanded playoff absolutely screws the teams that had the best regular season.
Not sure if I'd say incredibly unlikely but that path could be tricky especially if ASU and Boise draw byes, as seems likely right now. If your choice is between playing Oregon/UGA or Boise/ASU in the 2nd round I know what I'd pick.

If there's no reseeding Oregon could well play Ohio State in the 2nd round and the first game was awfully close ... and that one was at Autzen.
OSU was in position to win that too until that OPI call and then Howard slid down with no time left.

With the win today Georgia could end up playing 3 of their last 4 games in Atlanta if they make it all the way to the national championship game

USC was the Nebraska of the Pac-12
Washington was the Oklahoma of the Pac-12
Oregon is essentially the late 80s/early 90s Buffs of the Pac-12.

We got a game, you f*cktwigs. PSU puts up almost 300 yards on the Ducks in a half.

PSU u24.5 heavy.

really bad play from PSU dbs on this drive before the half. bad coverage, flat footed on slants, bad tackling

...and Skippy's career as a half-time media guy soldiers on....Nice work if you can get it. He's not terrible.

That rouging call against SMU was a bad break. Marginal call. And Clemson was punting. Instead, Clemson is up by 14.
That was a bullshvt call. We are playing football here, no? Of course, jmo, because they are asking players to do things that are about impossible at full speed.

Oh boo ****ing hoo, the best teams in the regular season get a free pass into the quarterfinals where, yeah, they're going to be expected to beat another good team in order to advance.

I know the country doesn't think much of ASU, but unless they swap places with Boise, they'll be the 12 seed playing the 5 seed and they aren't going to be an easy out, so cry me a river that your team gets to avoid having to play in the first round.

A free pass yet still have to play an extra game. And the loser of the conference championship games(and the 5th highest ranked winner) all have to play SEVENTEEN GAMES to win the natty. That's insane. Expansion is only good for people selling cars and beer and insurance. It's not good for the sport.

Also, ASU should not be the 12 seed. They should be 10. (Hell they should get the bye, I think they'd wallop BSU).

But we all know they killed themselves with arrogance
That doesn't really change the fact that had USC and UCLA not bailed, the Pac 12 could have easily poached the top 6-8 Big 12 programs and would have had a legitimate power conference on par with the B1G and the TV money wouldn't have been able to go all in with the B1G.

As far as I'm concerned, I hope USC (and to a lesser extent UCLA since they are mostly irrelevant anyways) ends up like Nebraska. Leaving to join a conference it has zero business being part of and wandering in mediocrity for the next decade or more.

If you're talking about conference realignment/expansion, then I agree with you. If you're talking about playoff expansion, I couldn't disagree more. This is the most popular the sport has ever been and the only people complaining are the fans/coaches/administrators of the teams that held a monopoly on the talent and championships for decades and are now seeing the talent spread out and more teams have a chance.
