Unless he talking about DL coaches, apparently. On Friday, RK said he didn't expect him to be back.
Sounded like RK was just making a guess, but he tends not to speculate.

Go check the UCLA boards. You’ll feel less concerned (for a bit)I guess I am left concerned about the lack of experience and lack of splash on our DC hire.
Looks like he was OC in 2010 and then they brought in Kliff to be CO-OC in 2011He was the OC at Houston?
I assume the plan involves Sapp wearing a shirt again at some point. His videos from home were a bit… rustic? That's the perfect role for him right now.
Not liking the Loadholt contract, he seems to be a guy that if the line comes together, that you immediately up him, but Prime has a post 2025 assessment period where he gets to likely name his price.Deion Sanders bets big on new defensive coach: What to know about his Colorado contract
Here are the contract terms of Deion Sanders' new full-time assistant coaches at Colorado.www.usatoday.com
Cu made money from Brewster (100k) and Kelly (212k) leaving early. Paying Shurmer 800k, 850k next year.
Livingston 800k this year, but he's gonna make 995 next year. The penalties for leaving within 120 days are interesting. Nice touch RG.
The thing that jumps out is loadholt having a 1 year only contract. 325k
It’s fine. It allows us to not be tied to someone learning on the jobNot liking the Loadholt contract, he seems to be a guy that if the line comes together, that you immediately up him, but Prime has a post 2025 assessment period where he gets to likely name his price.
If I read that 2025 reassessment period, that is a big moment in time for usIt’s fine. It allows us to not be tied to someone learning on the job

There’s a cap on multi year AC deals.
Was it? I thought they raised the number available but still have a limit.
the multi year thing was lifted years ago wasnt it?
Nothing has stated otherwise. So Sal is still the DL coach.
There has been speculation that he might be leaving for one reason or anotherNothing has stated otherwise.

Agree with you on PL only having a year being weird.....but he felt like a lottery ticket kind of hire.Deion Sanders bets big on new defensive coach: What to know about his Colorado contract

Hopefully he ditches the backwards hat in his new analyst role
Sal is still officially listed as DTs coach, but he supposedly has some issues and hasn't been around. Sounds like Sapp is the defacto DT coach in his place. Without any knowledge of Sal's issues, feels like Prime is either doing right by Sal by keeping him on staff and paid and/or he'll at least be back in some capacity to help get Sapp adjusted. Either way, have to think Sapp is the full time DT/DL coach in 2025.
I hope Sal is okay. Can’t help but wonder if this something kept him from leaving to go to the school that was rumored after the end of last season? Maybe Prime is keeping him on to ensure that he has the income and benefits to help out with whatever is keeping him off the sidelines and practices this spring?Sal is still officially listed as DTs coach, but he supposedly has some issues and hasn't been around. I think that Sapp is the recruiter, motivator and individual technique coach, while Damione Lewis (Defensive Analyst) is kind of the in-game, schematic adjustment guy.I'm excited for the Sapp experiment, if nothing more than to see if the Dline plays with a "pants on fire" mentality. Outside of the Oline (which was a re-do), I think the Dline is where CU really upgraded their talent--size, strength, speed etc... Definitely expect some growing pains in players, coach and new DC (overall coordination), but presuming Sapp is fired up on the sideline, perhaps the sheer emotion/will may bring them to new heights.
Shurmur has been in the booth I think in most of his coordinator stints. As of yesterday, it does not seem that Mike Zimmer to Dallas is a done deal. USA Today had an interesting take today, to the effect that Zimmer may not be McCarty's guy b/c he would be poised to take over, if the Cowboys HC is on the hot seat. Interesting stuff . . . Sheffter seemed sure but backtracked. I don't think they really know what is happening.
If Zimmer is not hired, I wonder if he does the analyst gig one more year at CU. That could be pie-in-the-sky, but would probably help with the transition. I really like CU's hire of Livingston. He is young, but resume is solid and things are trending to young coaches these days. Does anyone know if Livingston calls the defense from the sideline or the box? If he is sideline, then who will be in the box? Alternatively, if he is in the box, who is on the sideline?
Same with Shurmer, will he be on the sideline or in the box? Maybe Bartalone or Phillips in the box.
