If there’s been a bigger game for this program in the last 20 years, I’d like to hear what it was.
Dude. 2016. We were in the p12 championship game. And the 2 or 3 games leading up to it too
well, we have entered the phase where we actually have to be concerned about style points too. national tv prime spot and we have to counter the narrative that there are no playoff worthy teams in the b12 beyond the champion. note, I think this narrative is quite fair when comparing to the big and sec, not so much when comparing to the others. but, we can advance our ranking and our prospects tremendously by beating these guys down badly in Lubbock.

I understand that POV, but I think we have a sliver of a chance to sneak in even if we don't win the conference. hypothetical: we win out and isu wins out and they win the tiebreak to get to the title game. if we can get our ranking up, it would be harder for them to deny us a bid. it is not probable but possible.
go out and crush everyone in these next 4 and the argument gets a lot stronger--- and it helps 12 for the heisman which helps us too for that bid.

Noted. That was a fluke and we all knew it at the time. We had mini Mike for a coach and weren’t a destination for any top level recruits.
This game has long term implications for the program.
Uhh. Yea. Fluke or not we were in a championship game and we had earned that appearance. That's way bigger than this game.
Winning itself is enough. The ratings promise will get Colorado in.
