CU players in the NFL

Great ownership leads to a very stable situation where players and coaches can thrive. A Big Ben type career would be great for Shedeur. A couple of rings, some pro bowl selections, retire wealthy. Not a bad deal.
Not sure why a pro team gets a pass from the poster who reliably rails on PSU, MSU, and **** Baylor for their similar willingness to look the other way and cover up for a sexual predator.

Grant your point. I did tend to hammer on Ben in his career after the first of his multiple incidents came out but Steelers ownership should be held accountable for their response with him.

I am not a Steelers fan but it's hard to argue that they have managed to have long term consistent success. It also doesn't make up for Ben's off-field actions but the Steelers have been at the forefront of supporting racial diversity in the league, and in a real manner. The league rule requiring teams interview candidates of color is named the Rooney Rule for a reason.

But yes, Ben was not held accountable for his actions and his actions over a period of time, it was a pattern.

I don't see why the stability of the Steelers going 9-8 or 10-7 with a first round exit and a revolving door at QB since Roethlisberger is appealing. Recent relevant history says that franchise is mostly mediocre and never a threat. I'd rather see Shedeur in Cleveland with Stefanski revitalizing that franchise.

Have to play burrow and Lamar 4 times a year? Hard pass to both

As long as Haslam owns the team, they're not going to experience sustained success no matter who he hires. He's one of the worst owners in the league, and ownership matters.

An argument can be made that with the right QB the Steelers are in contention to go deep in the playoffs. Even easier to make the argument that no matter who the QB is Cleveland is so messed up that they aren't going anywhere. History would support both arguments.

Yeah, I agree, plus I never root for Pittsburgh, next to the rest of the AFC West and the Patriots, they're among my most hated teams.

So let's hope he goes to the Saints where we can all root for him!
