CU vs WSU 11/19

Not really gametime related but I did see the college GameDay tour bus at hampden and Santa Fe going north about 2:30 this afternoon. I couldn't think of a reason why it would be down there.

It's the direct way from the Bayou to Seattle. They were at LSU Saturday and will be in Seattle this week.

site visit/ coming up from baton rouge?

don't really care at this point, I just want the BUFFS to win. The late games do suck for those of us that have to travel half the state to get there and back home or get a hotel. Six days notice is bull**** for those that travel to these games?? do these numb nuts that set these schedules realize that? and the Game Day crew - kinda suks for them if you think about it.

edit: Bolded meant those that travel from out of state. 6 days notice for plane tickets kinda rough.

Book a hotel room that allows for up to 72hrs free cancellation. Then cancel it if you have to.

GameDay crew will be used to it. I doubt it makes much of a difference to them what airport they fly to when they fly out. It's not like they take care of their itineraries.

I hope it's a later game.
My son and I have a basketball game (I coach, he plays) in the afternoon and we are planning to attend the game.

His schedule wasn't out when we procured our tix.

Most hotels allow you to cancel up to 24 hours in advance or even up to 5pm the day of check in if you book directly and not through a discount bookings engine.

Oh, and this reminds me.

I stayed at the Broker "Roadway" Inn on Thursday night last week. I was concerned it would be a terrible, terrible mistake. I did it because it cheap, and I liked the fact I was next door to the Dark Horse for before and after the game.

It was fine - not nice - but fine. I would equate it to a Super 8 or an older Holiday Inn.

I think they may have made some changes recently, but the last time I stayed there, they offered monthly rates and even had some kind of deal with section 8 and social security disability rates or something.

I thought you lived in the area.

Some of the small schools we play in basketball stay there, so it can't be that awful.

It used to be nice. They had a crazy good spread for Sunday brunch. It has pretty much turned into a meth cook house, though.
I went there for one of my friend's graduation parties. great prime rib back in the day.

South by about 40 miles. I didn't want to stay sober for the game.

This and this, plus they had Friday Night Taco Bar that was the freaking bomb. I will save a few stories from Friday nights in college for a Sackygate. They didn't even attempt to remodel that area - it is now a fitness center. It used to sort of compete with the Hotel Boulderado as the top hotel in town in the late 80's, I'm not sure if the St Julien killed them, or just mis-management/profit-taking that drove them in to the ground without any long term vision.

I'm pretty confident there has not been a redecoration since the late 70's for sure.

Agree... I'm considering flying in Saturday morning and will have 2 hours to get to a 1:30 MT game. That doesn't give a lot of slop for delays. So, is 1:30 about the earliest game they could get that day?
