Man would it be nice to have an announcement of agreement today
Definitely sounds like from Neely and Dukes and others that it he wants to stay and plans to stay, but since this is a big moment in the relationship and they need to be very sure they have all the resources to be great. Assistants, Support, Recruiting, get everything figured out right now

No chance it's announced on a Friday news dump. It'll either be this weekend around the NFL playoff games or Monday leading up to the Natty. IMO, of course.

Very true, gotta follow the publicity handbook all the way to the finish
Monday would not be good because that is MLK, Inauguration, and CFP
Saturday morning would be best

An hour before the CFP or halftime of the CFP would be ideal, IMO. Get the entire college football world at least partly talking about it instead of the actual game.

Where's Ben Johnson going? Rumors say LV is making an offer that exceeds Andy Reid's deal in KC (highest in the NFL), which would be completely insane and a total Raider move, but if that happens, they'd have to overpay the Titans or Browns for 1 or 2 and I doubt they'll get that done.

That is exactly what I hope happens
CU is so slow to the punch, but that was when we had so many crap regents that might not approve it.

Get the deal done, check your regent vote count and then announce it.
