First offensive play?

Off tackle handoff to PL. Start easy. See how you can do with the run. Refrain from having a shootout by the start of the 2nd Qtr. We'd WIN a shootout, but it's too early for the drama.

Webb ran a quarterback sneak on first down in an apparent miscommunication from the sideline.
"They originally had it as third down, so we signaled him quarterback sneak," Colorado head coach Jon Embree said. "Then they gave him the first down and he didn't get the signal what the play was supposed to be."

I forgive you for trying to block that dark history from your mind.
Embree era wrapped up in one play.

Little off topic but I'd hope some of our backs watched Jamaal Charles play especially his blocking. He's damn good at it.

Either:
1. Sweep to Lindsay for a huge gain
2. Oop de oop to Tweeder in the end zone

Regardless, the first play is always a kickoff

Seriously, I don't want some glam play. No read option. No counters. No bubble screen. No fly pattern. No pitch sweep. I want the O-line to smash CSU off the line, Linds straight up the middle for a big gain. That leaves CSU reeling, thinking "****, that hurt! And holy crap, the Buffs can also run outside, throw over the middle, throw deep, or run the QB. Now what the **** are we going to do?"

Which is specifically why I said "First offensive play". I could clarify it further by specifying it be CU's first offensive play, but I thought that would be obvious.
