Game Thread: Cincy @ CU—October 26 @ 8:15 PM ESPN

What is with all the people calling Barnett a hater, saying he is jealous of Prime, etc in the comments of these post game breakdowns. I don't see that at all, in fact Barnett has seemed to be highly supportive of Prime.

This one isn't so bad.. but last weeks was crazy. Some were even saying things like "typical old white man, can't stand to see Prime do it his way" and thigs like that.

I just watched - he seemed effusive in his praise. Is it his demeanor that they don't like? That was probably done around 1 am and he's a 70 year old man.

This one only has a couple people saying anything but if you read the comments of the Arizona one like half are hating on GB.

It's just his demeanor but for some reason it's being interpreted as something far deeper. 🤷‍♂️

ISU and KSU still have to play, so that's one loss we need. ISU has a rougher schedule overall, so there's still a good shot here.

I don't think any of TT, Cincinnati or KSU are gimmes, and they still have to go to Kansas and Utah too.
Believe it or not, Kansas is the team that controls the big12 destiny now.

They still need to play against ISU, BYU and us.

They have been playing competitively, just keep on losing due to some stupid dumb mistakes. Any of the teams above, including us, could lose to them.

The best case for us would be to have Kansas beating ISU/BYU but lose to us.

Or, at least beating BYU, and then hopefully ISU beat KSU in the end.

Well, the last 10 or so years I’d been in 216 and 217. Last year in 217 there were fights in 3 straight games. One of em a guy was arrested after gladiator kicking a girl down the stairs. You young folks are crazy assed dip ****s! I needed to be around people I know I could take down in a fight.

I've been to the ****bailer,KSU, and last night's game, as well as the game in Fort Collins, and of all those games, last night was the first fight I've seen. The one game with no history and no bad blood, and there's two drunk ass young men scrapping.

You mean the one he completed after getting lit up. Keep on trucking brother. You, Dane Brugler, and the noobs on NFL draft reddit deserve each other
We can acknowledge 2 is the best QB to ever play here and that he is the best QB in the country while also acknowledging he’s been off on his deep balls this year. It’s one slight knock on him while he’s improved on pretty much every other knock from last year.

Good luck!

Holy **** :ROFLMAO: Hopefully that guy was charged with battery. That’s insane. Was she ok?

The way Prime approached him though to be a real coach there I absolutely love.

Man the coaches I knew … if I did something like that … I would been motherfvcked into the next week
I don’t think Prime necessarily coaches them to do it, but he also lets his players be themselves and that’s who he was as a player, so those kind of harmless celebrations are going to happen.

Nobody talks about SS2 underthrowing every deep ball. I get that sometimes you get the PI but we didn’t get PI at the end of this game. We didn’t at the end of K state and still he underthrows every deep ball. Did it again on the Travis Td. Wide open and it is underthrown. Happened more than once last night.
The one to hunter was under throw because he got hit when he released and couldn't follow through

That i'm not sure of.

Yes. I would be great if we had one complete back with all the traits. But we have a number of good backs. Augustave best fits what we need at this point. We aren't clearing out of bunch of the second level in our running game, but he is able to make a ton of yards after contact--and not just contact, but yards after the entire defense has swarmed him. I think doing this will allow us to open up our running game in a few other ways, too, that maybe support a runner like Hayden more. I think Micah may ultimately be more well-rounded, including power with vision and shiftiness. But he's still a true freshman. (Apologize if I get some of the names wrong. I'm god-awful with names and spelling.)

I think we can make it with the trio. Augustave has played well. Seems like he took what was there adding YAC. Not many missed plays/assignments from him--just steady Eddy. Micah will be great if we can get him healthy, if he has not hit the 2nd half Freshman wall. For RBs the jump from hs to college is massive. There are some special guys that do it--Clarrett, Gore. Many guys hit a 2nd half wall, as the season progresses: they get dinged up, fatigued from the longer season/more practices & meetings, wear and tear, etc... A healthy Micah will be a great addition, if not this year he'll be a huge factor next year. Dallan Hayden is a good peice, he has been consistent of late, and seems to have a good understanding of the offense as a whole.

Holy **** that was a nice easy way to get to a ****in bowl and I love it. This team has speed for ****in days and a quarterback that can handle that. Now it has a goddamn sledgehammer at running back and some mean ass mother ****ers up front. We all know the defensive line is dunking on idiots, but now the offensive line is starting to lean forward and **** around a bit too.

Love the Smalls in motion trap plays. And Seaton can get a head of steam any time good God that dude is a ****in load.

Shurmur called a hell of a game yesterday. That 2nd and 15 play with Drelon miller ****in ruled. Horn and Wester are deadly going laterl. Hunter is a ****in cheat code. Sheppard continues to big dog on the outside (quiet game yesterday, bull**** no call on the PI).

We are starting to cook on both ends, fellas. Cincy called a hell of a ****in game on offense yesterday and it didn't matter.

Things are starting to get serious

I’m honestly surprised how many people are surprised by the taunting rule and that a touchdown can be wiped off the board.

It’s been around for a while, and I have seen touchdowns taken off the board for it, but it’s probably been about 5 years since I remember seeing it. This rule is a reason I’m always holding my breath every time a player has a clear path to the end zone with time to come up with a way to rub it in, and then hoping to hear the infraction was a dead ball foul and not during the play.

I’m not saying that think it’s a good rule or that it’s always enforced, but it has been a rule for a while, and does have a history of being called.

Did you not see the injury timeout after the second to last TD? Kid could barely get off the field. He was hurting down the stretch last night and still balled out. Go take a lap.

Just didn’t know if there was strategy behind it. It happens a lot. Maybe he is always hit. I can believe that. I certainly understand he was dinged up last game. Like someone said, he can be the best an in cu history (which I believe he is ) and the best in college football (I believe this too) and still underthrow deep balls. Maybe it is a strategy. Even all you long time posting dbags who jump on anyone who says anything contrary to what you think, can’t tell me you don’t see it. You can’t be that obtuse can you.
